You can put it into a few ounces of juice, you just have to make sure that she finished all of the juice in a short period of time so that she is getting the full dose of medicine.

Do you reside interior the united kingdom? in case you do then Mothercare sell dummies which you would be able to placed the medicine into and it progressively releases while the youngster sucks on them. i understand he's probably slightly previous for a dummy now yet while he's feeling poorly then he might desire to need to have something to suck on. I also have a similar subject with my daughter (she's 17 months). I stay interior the Canaries nevertheless and that they want giving infants suppositories, it is not advantageous even nevertheless it does paintings very on the instant so maybe it incredibly is an determination you may desire to ask your well-being care expert approximately too.

Have you tried the fast chews or the thin strips? Those are gone before they can spit them out.
When my son was little, one of us would have to hold his arms down while the other one gave it to him and blow in his face to make him swallow it. I know this sounds horrible but even the doctors and nurses had to give it to him that way. He was VERY strong for a child. He is now 11 and takes medicine without a fight thanks to being able to take swallow able pills.
If the fast chews, melts or thin strips won't work ask your daughter's pediatrician for some advice.

I have been there!! My son hated any medicine and I could NOT get him to swallow it and I tried all the common tricks. Finally, I took two spoonfulls of berry flavored applesauce and put the medication in there and gave it to him that way. Just don't use too much - just enough they can get it in a couple of bites and be done and then if they want more applesauce you can just give them the rest of the med free applesauce. But, you know - what works for one doesn't for another - so check this site out for lots of suggestions! http://www.askdrsears.com/html/10/t110206.asp
Good luck!

I used to have that problem. The nurse, and doctor showed me what to do... I just used to hold them down, hold their noses, and put the dropper as far back in the back of their throat as I could, and then I'd squeeze it in. It may seem harsh, but it's a great way to get the medicine down them. You may need some help doing this, because if yours is like mine used to be, and she sounds like she is, she's going to struggle with you. Good luck!

I usually sit down some where, put her in between my legs and shes standing side ways in between my legs. Then hold her head back. No spoons to messy but hold her nose and squirt it in there quick and make sure she swallows. If not help by countinuing holding her head back let go her nose real quick blow real hard in her face so she can't catch her breath for a second and she has no choice but to swallow it. I'm realy good at it. Works every time.

Use the dropper but hold her cheeks together and squirt it in the side of her mouth. Keep holding her mouth until she swallows.

They now sell cough "strips" (a lot like the breath strips) that melt on the child's tongue. There are also things like gums or "candies" so they are easier for a child to take.

I use to hide it in Sprite. Normally I do not give her soda, so when she does get the treat, she swallows it down eagerly (medicine and all).
