No, mothers and daughters do not necessarily have the same appearance with the labia minora (the lips that surround the opening to the vagina-the vagina is on the inside of the body) when it comes to the external genital (vulva) area.

My mom's is different than mine.

I would also recommend asking your dr about this to see what they think.
