I've done it a few times.....mainly because the Naproxen is always here....and doesn't really work on me....so after a while, when the pain (whatever pain) still went on, I've used my faithful Ibuprofen and then it goes. HOWEVER, all bodies and systems are different. So, go for the safest way. Just use one. Take an example, my eldest brother, used to mix them all the time, eventually, he developed an allergy to most painkillers.....now whenever he takes either of them, he swells and feels terrible for several hours, till their effects are gone.
Now, I always have my Ibup at home, so no more mixes anymore! Not in vain docs recommend not to!

one ingredient to keep in mind approximately ibuprofen as against naproxen is they're helpful for various quantities of time (see their respective labels for dosing archives). Naproxen binds greater tightly to plasma proteins than ibuprofen. this promises naproxen an prolonged life interior the blood (approximately 12 hr. vs. 4 hr for ibuprofen). whether the two certainly one of those drugs artwork by comparable mechanisms, a lot of human beings checklist that between the medicine works greater applicable for particular forms of discomfort and that the different works for categories of discomfort. In my case, ibuprofen works greater applicable for my problems, yet naproxen works greater applicable for tendinitis (your mileage might selection). some women checklist that naproxen works greater applicable for menstrual cramps than ibuprofen.

lol - I do...I take a prescription strength Naproxen dose every day (just so I can walk if I have to) and then either Advil or Excedrin body and joint (I think that's its' name, it's the green 2-tone one) for whatever else crops up during the day. I wouldn't advise taking too much - it makes you sleepy till you get used to it; and be careful if you have liver or kidney probs. But I'm no doctor, and if there's something bad wrong, seeing the doctor is safer than listening to us here, lol!

Don't think so. Best to call a pharmacy and ask.
