My girlfriend is 1.5 years older than me. She always talks about how her ex's were older than her & I'm the youngest she's ever had. It irritates me because it sounds like she's implying that I'm too young for her. At a club with some older friends, she seemed to want to dance with an older guy friend, and not me. She's from Japan and she wrote in her Japanese diary, that her ideal boyfriend is 25. I found out (she didn't think I would) and then confronted her about it. We got into a fight about that, and she started to try to give excuses that had nothing to do with what we were talking about ("I'm sorry I'm Japanese/I don't speak English well/our cultures are different"), and then removed it immediately. It seemed like she was hiding it. I told her that if she has such a problem with my age that she should leave me. She also calls her best guy friend a lot. Also, she used to cut herself when we first met, but she told me she's stopped but I'm doubtful due to the cuts on her arm. Help

Damn! Thats the craziest story I've heard on Answers so far, well age difference doesnt matter, my girl is a year and 2 months older than me, still I was intrigued by you question. I think that she is getting tired of you, its pretty ovbious dont you think? the diary, the calling on her friend, the club story and the cuts. Id say just talk to her seriously about it, tell her that if there is no connection between the two of you, you should separate.

IF she has unreasonable ideas, then you won't get anywhere. She sounds unhappy and you aren't changing that. Hiding things in a relationship means a loss part of the relationship.

I'd think you may be wiser to stop battling a losing battle, and move forward. Cutting is a very unhappy sign. She could even blame you. Careful.

Your friend needs osme therapy and counselling self mutilation is usually a sign of depression and other psychological problems. I would recommend you try to get her to see a professional ASAP this could be a cry for attention or possible suicidal tendencies.

God Bless and Best Wishes really age don't mean much I'm 5yrs younger then my wife. Married almost 8yrs now.

You think that is an age difference? My guy is 23 years younger than me! We are going on 3 years. I don't think that your age has anything to do with whatever you think is wrong. Stop focusing on that and maybe you will figure out the real issue. Best wishes!

ok if she likes older men and older means 25, then you must be very young, and her very young. too young to know what the heck you are doing. she is crazy and pshyco for cutting herself, and you'd better get out while the gettings good and let her 'older' 25 yr old men have her. how pathetic are you man?

This girl sounds like she has a lot of problems. I think you are best to move on. You should'nt have looked in her diary though besides a lot of what is written in diaries is just a load of cr*p.

For the time being, you're just filling in an empty spot in her life. She is not totally honest with you. She is still looking.

I would move on if I was you, as she is a very unstable girl with mental issues. And you can't help her.

well..you need to decide if you really love her, if you trust her, and if shes worth the stress to you. if she likes another guy, then it doesnt sound like a good thing for you...i think you should just talk about it, and if she blows it off or something, break up, there are more fish in the sea for you =)

It is not your age she is tired of. She needs help not you.
She has not grown up yet. And I would not belive anything she told me if I were you. I do think you should make mention to her parents about her cutting herself and have them have it checked out
