I always was wondering if i could have learned some foreign language ! For to know more about the different culture and creature !I believe that Universally it should be accepted to teach other language simultaneously may be just up to common understanding .Student should be given a choice also ! World is becoming smaller and smaller not only that all community and cultures are also coming very nearby and now mix type of community is being coming up the society where to keep Harmony in between every one has to have some knowledge of other foreign language ! God bless there I am always YouRs mE

French 8th-12th grade; liked it until the teacher ran out of material and basically made us do the fourth year over again.
Latin 12th grade; loved it. Fantastic teacher - Latin was the best history class, best English class, and best foreign language class I ever took.
Spanish, four semesters in college. Took the first two semesters' worth over summer; started to think in Spanish here and there by the end of the very intensive period.
German, 21 credits worth in college. It's my minor, but a German minor does not really reflect any command of German in my opinion. I'd be more comfortable conversing in French or Spanish.
Japanese, one class in college. Learned the two kana alphabets, how to introduce myself, what the names of household objects were. Then I got mono and slept for twenty hours a day for about two weeks. Dropped the course, although I still have the textbook.

I have learned two other languages. Oui! Si!. I took Spanish in high school and college because my guidance counselors told me that I should. The hardest thing about Spanish is verbs and verb tenses.
In college, I decided to pursue French because my family has French in the bloodline. I found French much easier to learn because I had already done Spanish. Both Spanish and French are Latin derived languages, and they possess some similarities in words. French verbs are easier to learn in general because there are not fifty million ways to congugate them. Past, Present, and Future are all that you need. Je parle francais.

I studied English, Spanish and German. I teach English as a second language and French is my first language.
Learning languages helped me improve my own first language and it opened the doors to other cultures.
What was hard for me was finding opportunities to practice the languages I was learning, especially for Spanish and German.

I'm currently learning German, and I think it's great. It was difficult at first, but it's getting easier.
I also took some French and Spanish classes in high school, but I only remember bits and pieces of the languages.

I had to learn 3 foreign languages when i was at school.
I'm very happy that i've learned to speak/ write English or else i wouldn't be able to answer your question as i'm Dutch. lol
I think everyone should learn English as a second language as it's used almost everywhere.
Had German and Frence too. German was quit easy for me too, but French is very tough!

English. I sort of learned it unconsciously because I was 3 years old. The third language I learned was spanish it was really easy because French is my first language and spanish has a latin root.

Yes, I took Spanish for 1 year and It was great. I just wish I could remember more of it. I really enjoyed the class and i had an Awsome teacher. I also took American Sign Language for 1 quarter. It was hard for me because I have trouble paying attention to the person signing to me. My eyes tend to wander with my attention, But it was a good experience.

i took french in school and it's my best subject (and my favorite), i also started teaching myself Italian, and i know enough to form simple sentances, and i want to learn german and hebrew!
it's not for everybody though, some people just aren't good at learning languages.
but if you can do it, you definitely should, taking any language helps you be able to understand people in a foreign country, understand english better, and if you take any romance language, you can understand pretty much any other romance language a bit also.
also, learning a language is fun (for some) and always rewarding.
