Okay, so I have a project to do for my social studies class and after about an hour of searching I have finally found a useful picture of a U.S. army uniform during the time of the Indian Wars (Custer's Last Stand, Seventh Cavalry 1870s-ish). I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a list or a website or a good book that would have the supplies that soldiers during that time used. I need like the guns, food, shelter, and other supplies that a typical soldier or group of soldiers would take with them into battle. If you know of something like this I would appreciate it sooo much. thanks.

Interesting that you would pick the Michigan 7th Cavalry. It is the only unit still in existance from that time period. Known now as Gary Owen it's motto is First in Battle. I currently have family members in the Unit in Iraq.
