It is always good for children to be able to go to the new school for part of the year before the summer. They will meet classmates which they can get to know better over the summer. This will ease the next school year when they return to school as well as help them to have some friends over the summer.

Well, it would be hard on the kids to start a new school when there is just one month left, BUT that would allow them to make new friends before the summer months.
If you do move after school is out, I would recommend that you contact the new school to find out what your kindergartener needs to know for next year. I've found that the things taught in kinder are ALL OVER THE PLACE so a kid can be doing GREAT in one kinder class and be behind in another.

I would wait, no matter what grade they were in. At every age they have friends and the best time to move is during the summer. This way the can say goodbye to all their classmates in school, have a little party and finish off the year. You don't want to move in May, get to your new house and have to worry about getting the kids off to their new school, new teacher and new routine while unpacking and making sure everything got to the new house.
I too am moving in the summer and letting my boys finish the 3rd & 1st grade in our old town. When we move, there will be plenty of kids in the neighborhood outside during the summer and they'll make tons of new friends. They can start fresh in a new school in Sept.
Best wishes to you and good luck with your move if you do so. =]

My parents moved me at the end of 1st grade and at the end of 2ed grade. So from personal experience i would say its not a big deal to littler kids to have friends over the summer, but when it comes time for the first day of school starting in a new school that may be too over whelming for them. All though i hated going to a new school when they were just finishing up the ends of units i would definitely say the sooner the better if you think that your children will adjust okay. If not then wait ... it will give your whole family more time to adjust to the new home and life style and get things organized before you have to get into the hectic school life again.
good luck moving

Please wait..... Because it is hard for a child to get on the right beat when going to a new school. Think about it the child might be behind in the new school and that only makes it harder for them!!!
Just Wait!!! It really means a lot...

If you have the option of waiting, I would wait-
It would be easier on your kids, and yourself.
