And on this day in 2007, some dude on Yahoo! Answers finally stumbled upon the answer. All we have to do is just stop violence and be nice to each other! It's so simple; why has no thought of this before?! Thank you so much for finally revolutionizing our society!

Douchebag.

What you are saying will, eventually, be possible, because the foundation of all the great religions is the same, since there really is only ONE God - the inspirer of them all. If you look closely and carefully, the most basic ethics of all the world religions is the same - for example - there is a version of the Golden Rule (i.e. do unto others as you would have them do unto you) in ALL the world religions. What we call 'different religons' are really different chapters (with different social laws in each chapter - to suit the times and culture it was revealed in...) in a larger book which is "the changeless faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future" (Baha'u'llah)

At times, it can seem that human society is falling apart altogether. Yet other developments in all arenas of life are often the source of hope and signs of an emerging sense of individual and collective responsibility. Bahá’u’lláh’s writings illuminate this seeming contradiction. Like an adolescent moving to adulthood, humanity is growing up.

Around the world Bahá’ís are striving to contribute to the building of a global society that reflects humanity’s coming of age. You are welcome to explore this effort.

UMMMMMMM, what does all religions agreeing have to do with killing?????????????? All religions are not going to agree, that is a given, All killing SHOULD stop, but will not. Killing has been a fact of life, pardon the oxi moron, since the beginning of time(kane and Able) Killing will continue until the final conflict.

If you are a true believer of God's Word the Bible it's clear that murder is wrong. Life is sacred and precious in God's eyes. God is LOVE. Jesus taught us how to love one another. The second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. I have to love you as much as I love myself. If EVERYONE applied that one scripture alone it would be a much better world. God's Kingdom is our only hope. Dan 2:44
