I been on Yahoo answers for several hours and can't figure out why so many people are wasting their time asking tax questions here when they could just read from the IRS booklet or go to the IRS.gov website.

They're hoping for a quick answer. With luck, they got an accurate one - there are way to many wrong answers given her for anyone to feel comfortable.

If you don't know what you're doing, the IRS web site is not always the easiest place to find answers, and not everyone has a tax booklet. You can get answers here in a few minutes instead of wasting an hour trying to find what you need.

Would you rather they ask questions tomorrow if they did their return correctly?

A lot of folks don't go to primary sources, but trust what they get from sites like this instead. Who can figure?

Some of these people may not have filed yet.

Others have tax classes.
