I believe god gave us freewill to see how we would use it, to see how we would choose between good, evil, and the inbetween. I believe it is also an instrument to test one's faith is God. Now some would argue whether or not we really have freewill, if you research through the bible i'm not sure that you will find very much evidence supporting us truly have freewill, calvinist church's and thoelogies, with there doctrine of predistination would probably argue that we don't really have freewill but more of an illusion of freewill if god already knows everything. I often ponder the freewill question myself because i think life would be so much better sometimes without it. And as for the tree of knowledge in the garden of eden i believe got put it there to test adam and eve because they were free to do anything except eat from the tree of knowledge, to see if they would listen to what he said. But one might also argue that if god knows all then before he even created adam and eve he knew what would happen. anyways those are my thoughts....
peace

If he never gave us free will, a way out, i.e. the Tree of Knowledge, then we would have been enslaved in Eden. Although a Paradise, we would have been prisoners of His love, so he -NEEDED- to make a way out, because for a relationship to work, you need both counterparts working together. And, if He never made the doorway into sin, than God would have never had to send his only Son to die for us on the Cross. We would still be living in Eden, and we would have -NO- idea how much Grace and Love God has for us. Just to show us how much God loves us, He came down and died. We would have been oblivious to that if we never sinned in the first place. What grace and love God has..it's amazing!!!

Why do parents allow their children to learn to be individuals?
What would be the point of giving us life and not giving us free will?
God chose to do this so that WE would make the choice to know Him, He wants it to be our own choice and to freely give ourselves to Him. If it was automatic then what would be the point?
When I allowed God into my life I found a joy I never realised, because my life had been dismal and lonely until then...without my being able to choose God, I would never have known that joy.

Without the tree of knowlege ( God's Righteousness) where would man be? Through sin came grace all things do work toghether to the good of those who live God and are called according to his purpose. man has pregressed for being under the law to God's covenant wiht Abrham to the grace fo Jesus Christ we live under now we will continue those who love the truth to grow and become a part of God's righteousness it is a process of creation and he is not finished with us yet. you are correct that free will is allowed to prevent man form being robots but to have a choice to chosoe righteousness over evil and through the choice of accepting the aotnement man does by faith enter into God's righteouness.

There would be no reason for an all-powerful being to grant free will. Christians often cite it as a means to an end ("God doesn't want robots" "We'll be happier choosing God") but if God can do anything, he could just as easily create perfect happiness without free will. Heaven could still be heavenly.

If man is sinful anyway, then Hell is justified. And all God does is keep some of them from going there.

Theologically, we were no longer created evil yet were created with a sense of loose will. loose will isn't the capacity to do undesirable; that's the capacity to %. and decide what we do with our lives. even as Adam and Eve disobeyed God contained in the backyard of Eden, they presented sin into the international, it truly is in straightforward words component of loose will. there are quite some sturdy activities in this international that require loose will, and there are quite some undesirable. that's no longer one-sided. for sure some human beings do undesirable, for this reason appearing on their loose will; in addition, human beings do sturdy and for this reason act on loose will. i imagine your question is extra effectual phrased: "If God knew lets finally sin, why did He enable Adam and Eve sin contained in the first position?" because He gave us loose will, it truly is why. "yet then would not it make sense for Him to no longer enable them to be tempted to sin?" you need to ask. the answer is: we do not recognize. it truly is why he's God. He must have a sturdy reason, yet on condition that we as human beings are restricted in our recognize-how, we in basic terms don't recognize it. it truly is what makes God God and human beings human beings. that's something that each and each Christian i recognize (such as myself) has contemplated and puzzled, yet we do not ignore that there are some issues we won't be able to clarify. (i recognize what you're possibly wondering: "typical Christians. not in any respect have any instantly ahead sense or evidence." yet you need to do not ignore that each and each one peoples have issues they don't realize: Christians ask your self: "no matter if human beings imagine evolution is authentic, the position did the gasoline and mud come from to start with?" human beings can't answer that.) each thing calls for faith of a few form. yet besides, no matter if we do act on our loose will for using evil, it would not recommend we bypass to hell. What makes us bypass to hell is after we do not ask to be forgiven of that inaccurate that we did - after we enable our human delight to conquer and outweigh our sorrow for wronging our brothers and sisters in humanity and the author. no longer something in and of itself is evil except it truly is used or carried out for evil.
