My friends always call me an "athiest" but I am not! I made a joke one day that "I have no religion!" and then they alled me athiest!! I do not attend church because I never have the time, that doesnt help at all. How do I get them to stop callin me an athiest. Don't say get better friends they are just joking, but it gets annoying.

God’s word tells us that He is self-existing and ever-existing. In eternity past God was there. At a certain point he made a decision to create man. God’s desire was to have this man express Him in His image and represent Him with His authority earth (Gen 1:26-28) The bible tell us in the very first page of Genesis that God’s creation of man was different from His creation of all other things. He created man in His own image. Let us illustrate this matter by using a glove. A person’s hand cannot fit into a handkerchief because it does not have the image or form of the hand. Because the glove is in the image, the likeness, and the form of a hand, it is able to contain the hand. A glove is made in the form of a hand for the purpose of containing the hand. In the same way, the human life was created according to the image of God so that God could dispense Himself as the divine life into the human life. Man was created not only to express God but also to be God’s representative authority. The unique way for man to express God and represent God is to receive God as his life that man may become a counterpart of God. Man was created with the capacity to receive and contain God’s divine life. All of man’s human virtues, such as love, honor, and goodness, were created by God so that man may have God’s live and live out the divine attributes

The point is you are not in love with God. When we love someone they are a part of all we do. You seek their highest good and care for their needs and interests. At it's best love is not only given but received. You can't be just a taker in a love relationship. We love God because He first loved us. If we love God we will love his people and promote his cause. We can't do that if we don't first find out what the truth is (by reading His word) then proceeding to do what He asks of us. Jesus said Mark 16:16 He that believes and is baptized shall be saved. That's the first step. Then we go on from there. Incidently no where in scripture do you find anything about infant baptism. Notice what the scripture says "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved". It is also a burial in water not sprinking of water. Acts8:38 says they went down into the water. Also baptism is a Greek word to immerse.
You said you don't have time for church. If you said that to your lover - I have no time for you that wouldn't be love. So I can see why your friends would get the idea that you are an Athiest. When you really believe you act.

Prove your self that you not an atheist. Just ignore what your friends are saying then let them know that you have been praying and you are always reciting prayers to God even without going to the Church because the church is not the only place where to pray and you can pray at home alone.It is better to pray alone.
In going to the church it is the uniting with your co members of that congregation to see each other to pray and to worship the God which you believe God but do not worship images made of stone or wood. It is prohibited by God.

Always call you names of things you are not???
They don't sound like they even know God!
Ask them what love is? Whatever it is that they answer you will have looked up God's definition of it and will be able to prove to them once and for all who the atheist is... It is also forbidden by the way to call people names and or liars... unless we can absolutely prove it... and not just by words...
Ask then what it means when God says that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one... All man-made religions come from him... popes have nothing in common with Jesus... put that one in their pipe!
The first pope killed his first wife and oldest son... and everyone else who didn't want to become not a "christian" as the first Christians were but a "catholic" like the religion, he had just concocted.
Matthew 5:37; James 5:12; Revelation 18:4 which asks everyone to get out of the empire of false religions... before it is too late...

Athiests are people who believe there is no God. Tell them that if they are too dumb to know what the definition of an athiest is, they really should look it up in a dictionary before calling someone else one. You are not an athiest, unless you believe that there is no God. If you believe there is no God, then they are right to call you an athiest. In which case, I would say to them, very nicely, "It really hurts my feelings when you call me an athiest. If you are truly my friends, please respect my feelings and stop calling me one." If they don't respect your feelings enough to stop, after you explain that you are feeling hurt by their remarks, then they are really not very good friends.

It would be good,(for you not for your silly friends) if you could make it a priority to get closer to God. This may mean putting some other things on hold and taking time to check out some church services or Bible studies.
Now, as for your friends, if they're going to pick on you, you might try and put some of the burden on them. Ask them about their churches. Ask them if any of them have Bible studies or services at times when you are not so busy. Then, hit them up for rides. If they really want to call you names, but don't really care if you get to know God or not, then the problem really is theirs----and I'd give you the advice you told me not to.

Let your friends know that it irritates you or annoys you when they call you that, and just because you don't have a "religion "does not make you and Atheist. You don't name call them according to their religion of believes so they should respect you in that way.

tell them you not an atheist you just don't' have time to dedicate to some church or organized religion. a lot of people these days realize how stupid and whacked out organized religion is.
