I usually boil high for 3 to 5 minutes.
A good way to check to make sure they are hard boiled lift one out of the water in a spoon. If it drys like in seconds they are hard boiled.

For a perfect cooked egg, bring it up to a boil and turn off the heat and let it sit in the hot water for 10 minutes.

Depends on how hard you want it. About two minutes for soft boiled and about three minutes for hard boiled.

Simmer them for 31/2 minutes for soft, 4-7 minutes for firm white, soft yolk, 8 minutes for hard.
Drain and plunge into cold water to stop a grayish-green ring forming around the yolk, caused by overcooking.
