I am trying to get back into shape, basically I want my old body back! I'm not over weight at all but I was happy with my old body. I used to go to the gym every day but now I am at college and i'm always swamped with work. I used to love it and now I never seem to be able to get motivated enough. Anways, I wanted to know how much cardio I should do if im trying to loose a couple pounds and get back into shape! Thanks =)

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

If you do 20 to 30 minutes of cardio at least every other day you will see great results in no time... especially if you only have a few pounds to lose.Just get up and get moving. You go girl!!!

I would say at least one hour to begin with and diet, eat healthy. After a few weeks up to two hours and then within two months of beginning this I'll say up it to three hours. Not all at one, spread it out throughout the day but get all three hours and take in about 80 ounces of water. Eat a lot of fruits and veggy's.

It depends on the level of cardio you are doing but the current recommendation is 45 minutes of moderate exercise
