I believe in the all-knowing, all-powerful God of the Bible and no other. If you know the Bible, you know exactly who God is and what He is. You know that He is perfect in every way and that he is forever. You know that His will is perfect and best in all circumstances though NOT EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IS GOD'S WILL. If you want to kill yourself, for instance, God may let you but it is not His will at all because God NEVER changes in ANY way, EVER and keeps his covenants and promises without failure. The Bible says it far better and in greater detail than I have time for right now. He is the first and the last. He is the one true God, and the only God. He is our Father in heaven, and hallowed be His name.

In short i believe God is LOVE and God is LIGHT. If you take a look at most religions they usually associate God with some form of this, and also some associate God with Fearing god which i believe to be true if you are in the position to be scared for what you've done. And he is definately not some old man with a white beard, lol that's the image for suckers. It might help to think of god as a universal consciousness

I think God is all merciful and all loving. I cannot even guess at what he might look like or even if he has a body or is just energy. I only know that he exists and he loves all of us,and I look forward to the day that I will be with him!

I think God is personal. God is like a woman who had ten very rare and special coins. When she went to look at them she realized one was missing. She turns the house upside down, searching every corner, sweeps it clean until she finds the coin. Then she calls all her friends to come and celebrate with her.
That's how Jesus describes God.

If you want to know the Father YOU MUST know the SON. Jesus is the walking talking appearance of God on Earth. You can read how He interacted with others and How He feels on things. The WHOLE Word of God is a representation of God. If you want to know Him, we must seek Him.

You want to know what God is like? Jesus gave an illustration called the prodigal son. Basically a son took his inheritance and left home and blew every thing. He ended up destitute and feeding pigs and wanting to eat what they were eating. He decided to go back home and perhaps his father would let him be a servant. His father saw him coming and ran to meet him and hugged him glad he was home. This is what God is like, we took our inheritance (the earth) left the relationship we had and blew it. He is waiting for us to come home.

This is what He is like, and Christians are to make this their goal, (although always in the process). The greatest expression of God's love is communicated to us in John 3:16 and Romans 5:8. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him (Jesus Christ), will not perish but have everlasting life." "God demonstrated His love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." We can see from these verses that it is God's greatest desire that we join Him in His eternal home, heaven. He has made the way possible by paying the price for our sins. He loves us because He chose to as an act of His will. "My heart is stirred inside me. It is filled with pity for you" (Hosea 11:8b). Love forgives. "If we admit we have sinned (specifics), He will forgive us our sins. He will forgive every wrong thing we have done. He will make us pure" (1 John 1:9).
Love (God) does not force Himself on anyone. Those who come to Him do so in response to His love. Love (God) shows kindness to all. Love (Jesus) went about doing good to everyone without partiality. Love (Jesus) did not covet what others had, living a humble life without complaining. Love (Jesus) did not brag about who He was in the flesh, although He could have overpowered anyone He ever came in contact with. Love (God) does not demand obedience. God did not demand obedience from His Son, but rather, Jesus willingly obeyed His Father in heaven. "They must learn that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me to do" (John 14:31). Love (Jesus) was/is always looking out for the interests of others.
