Alright. I'm an 11 year old girl and going to a Cotillion. For those of you who don't know, it's a fancy ball thing. I'm African American and have a medium complextion. And I have long, dark, thick, black hair. Just so show you how fancy it is, here's the dress I'm thinking of wearing...

So my question is, how should I wear my hair?

I don't have naturally curly hair. My hair is more wavy. But I want it in curls!!! : )

Straighten your hair with a straightener or flat iron, and put it up into a chiffon [ a low bun], or a bun placed higher on your head. With that dress, it will look great! [either a loose bun or a tight bun will work just fine.]

Upsweep with loose tendrils around the face. Have your hair set on larger rollers and dry and then pull it up and pin it to stay up leaving some of the curl hanging down, and use a marcel to do a few loose curls around the face. You could also do an upside down french braid and curl the hair that is left hanging out.

Gorgeous dress!! You can try pulling it up in a high bun and leave some curls hanging on the sides to frame your face. Put some curlers on the sides a day before and after you did the up-do, arrange the pretty curls on the sides....

the dress is beautiful....i would compliment the dress and your features with a full updo off the face and neck...big curls would look smashing ...you have the hair to do it...some hair jewelery like rhinestones or little pink roses or pink ribbon weaved in the updo....do some shopping or you could ask the salon if they supply hair jewelery...some do...small tear drop earrings and necklace would finish off the look....you could get a trial updo at salon if you have an idea or ask the stylist..they have resent mag's and book with updated styles you could choose from....good luck and have fun at the ball...

Ohhh, I remember Cotillion. That dress is pretty. I would say wear your hair half up half down with a pretty barrette or something. You'll look really nice and sophisticated. Good luck and have fun!

well i love to help..
but it depends..
do you have curly hair? if yes then i think you should put it up.like a bride and put some accessories in your hair too. i have tried it (even though i have wavy hair) but it is still really nice
do you have straight hair ???
well i think you shold curl it. then put some accesories in it and a barlett would be nice too.
here is a tip:
use hairspray when your done
always use accesories
and let a pro do it for you(they always know best)

I love your dress. When I see a neckline like on this dress I would like a special necklace. Possibly a gold or silver chain with circle of pink stones (clear would work)in the middle and matching earrings. (I am not a pearl lover but they would also work with this dress.) To show this off I would wear my hear up in whatever style suits you. You may also choose to wear something pink in your hair, but keep it simple or it will be tacky.

First of all, I love that dress! I think you should wear your hair in a half-updo, with curls. If you can't do that yourself then a professional would be able to. You'll look really good!

you should have a stylist pyle it on top of your head and curl it down to your shoulders and framing your face in curls. ON TOP of your head with pins. I know what kind of ball you are talking about. my best friend attented a debutante ball, extremely weatlhy people were there. She has your hair and that is how she wore it, very stylish and she was adored.

GREAT DRESS... I WOULD CURL YOUR HAIR LIKE U WANT TO AND THEN PUT IT UP IN LIKE A BANANA CLIP OR SOMETHING OF THE SORT SO IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS AN UPDO BUT U STILL HAVE THE LENGTH IN THE BACK AND YOU WOULD STILL BE ABLE TO SEE YOUR SHOULDERS.. U CAN EVEN LEAVE SOME LITTLE CURLS HANGING AROUND YOUR FACE .. U WILL LOOK PERFECT!!!!!
