i believe there is only one creator. we all choose to call him different names. whether it be God, Allah, Jehovah, whatever. we may all believe, we just practice our belief in different ways.
personally i call Him God.
i rarely attend church and yet i should because when i do i find it does quiet my heart and soul.
i can't say that i pray to God, but i do talk to Him quite often. i don't believe i have to be in church to do chat with him. i can do that anytime, anywhere.
he exists in my heart and he has helped me through some pretty tough times. and i am so grateful for his help.
i am sure many others who answer you will have far different methods of celebrating their belief, but the point is - we believe - and we have faith.
and for any one group to put down another because they practice different beliefs is a sin. and for those who don't believe, one day they will.

By definition, God is God. The Being that all should be subjected unto. Just like there are things that scientist have not discovered today will make people to be ignorant of the existence of those things until discovery, so also, the people's perception that there is a God or there is no God does not change the fact that God exist. It is only hope that the discovery of God's existence to individuals will not be too late for that person to repent.

God's there if you look for him. Those who don't believe in him are like people who don't believe in evolution. They are either afraid of what they will find, or too stubborn to believe what is right there in front of their face. I believe that God is the creator of all things, and that he gave us free will. This free will is the cause of all evil, as we are free to choose between doing right and wrong. Without it, however, there would be no good, either. Good and evil are relative. I believe in the legitimacy of most religions. The negative aspects of them are man's manipulation of their perceptions of God in order to gain power in this world. That is our fault, not God's. Ultimately, we are here to do good. Those who achieve that goal will be rewarded in the next life. Those who don't... well, who knows? The thing is that God is greater than our ability to understand him. We are expected to be the best people we can be, but you can never fully comprehend God. That does not negate his existence, however, nor does science, which is valid in its own way. God is inside us all. If you find him, you'll know it is true. That is a fact. There is nothing superstitious about it.

That about sums it up... considering that I don't have time to write a freakin' book about it. Honestly, I think this is not the right forum for this discussion. It is too limited, and the people here on BOTH sides of the discussion are too biased to have an intelligent and constructive talk on it.

I believe nobody is capable of grasping even a speck of what God is. I believe God did not create any religion, spoke to no puny human being, or wrote any books.

Well this is what my church has on their statement of what they teach

We believe...
> the bible to be the inspired word of God without error.

>there is one God eternally existent in three persons: Father Son and Holy Spirit

>That Jesus is the Son of God, representing the only way of reconciliation to the Father

> In the conception of Jesus by the Holy Spirit, His virgin birth, His sinless life of perfection, His death on the cross as a payment for our sins, His literal bodily resurrection, and His impending second coming.

> The existence of Heaven and Hell: Heaven gained by "grace through faith" in Christ Jesus'; Hell as eternal separation from God through the rejection of his Son

I haven't been to seminary and studies things like my pastor has, so I am not as good at answering real complicated questions about it all (but he really is). I am not going to pretend to be able to theologically defend what my pastor teaches as well as he is able to himself because he knows a whole lot more than me about the bible. I am still learning. He is really good at explaining things though and I can always ask him.

Most different churches have a different statement of faith spelling out what they believe. You should try searching different sects (like the united pentecostal church, the southern baptist church, etc.) Look up any church online (presbyterian, unitarian, any of them). They all will have a statement of what they believe on their web sites.

I believe in a God that is merciful and just at the same time.

My God is to great to have a sun, so great there is no human equivalent to him.

My God is inside all of us and all around us

My God has spoken to humanity through Abraham Isaac Joseph and Jacob

My God is true
My God is Allah.

I believe that the great deity set about the laws that started everything. S/he now watches, never interferes, but lets the laws and applications of those laws play out.
