i remember when i was a christian i did the same things, pushing my beliefs where there unwanted, but the act of being "saved" makes u believe w/o a doubt that its true and unbelievers burn in hell, so u want to bash it in ppls heads cuz u love or care about them, which is kinda nice when u think about it......but why not for once cant christians (the pushy ones) leave the "unsaved" alone, cuz we dont believe at all about hell or heaven so we dont care the slightest, we think the bible is just a book, because theres no proof it is holy or true. its just a book to us. so im just writing this to ask u all if u can lay off the crazy cult actions, and keep to urself until someone asks for ur input. and no i dont want to hear anyone say im lost and corrupt or anything, just plz lay off, thx

well if you weren't searching for the truth and if you really didn't care about beliefs or eternity or anything like that, you wouldn't have posted this. and you can't say "i remember when i WAS a christian" because you can't be a christian and then just stop being one. you never were one.
why DON'T you believe the Bible is THE holy book? Wanna see all the evidence that it is THE true and holy book?
Well what makes the Bible unique?
1.) The Bible is unique in unity. It was written by all sorts of people (fishermen, doctors...ancient IRS agents...LOL) in all sorts of different places. It talks about very hot topics, which people would all have thier own opinions on--such as how to raise your children. But despite all these hot topics and diverse people who in any other book would all have their own opinions on such hot topics, in the Bible, there's a unified theme--beginning to end, and all topics are agreed upon.
2.) The Bible is unique in popularity--it is the single most widely-translated book and is always on the top ten list.
3.) The Bible is unique in durability--after burnings and bannings, the Bible still stands strong.
4.) The Bible is unique in relevance--there are timeless principles all throughout this book--how to be successful, how to raise your kids, etc.
Is the Bible true? Well what does the Bible say about itself?
2 Timothy 3:16 says "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness"
Is the Bible historically accurate? Holding the Bible next to history, there is a STRIKING closeness--especially to detail in the Bible. In the few conflicts that have arrisen, the Bible always proves right. In example, People thought the Hittites mentioned in the Bible didn't exist because they couldn't find anything on them. Well in 1906, they found them--right where the Bible had them! The more archeologists dig up, the more they prove the Bible true.
What about the supernatural events in the Bible? Well if everything else in the Bible is true, then God MUST be the creator the Bible says he is and miracles, then, are merely a recreational activity for such a Being.
There were a multitude of witnesses who believed and followed what the Bible taught as true--such as the disciples. Well what if they were lying and made it all up? These witnesses clearly can't be lying because their lives were on the line and no one in history who taught this ever cracked, saying "Ok! I confess! we made the whole thing up!" to save his life.
In short, the Bible is a book unlike any other ever written or that ever will be written. Hebrews 4:12-13 puts it like this:
"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account."
I'm not trying to "beat you over the head" with this stuff...but remember you asked the question and opened it to anyone to say anything. And this is my answer. I hope you find what you're truly searching for.
Peace.

Let me say it this way. You expect us to speak when spoken to, is that it? Last I checked we live in a free country. There is nothing forcing you to listen to anyone. Because you have the freedom to turn off the computer or the TV. I have to listen to some pretty ungodly stuff and I am not telling your to just plz lay off. I ignore it or avoid it. Also, I really don't care what your personal beliefs are, if you want to believe in nothing that is fine. Everyone has that choice to believe in absolutely nothing or to believe in God. As citizens we have the right to voice our views.

Chris, I am sorry you feel this way, but the Word of God is going to be preached until the end of the world regardless of how you feel. Even, if no one ever came to say anything to you about God, you still have to wrestle with God Himself in your dreams, in your heart, and in your guilt. You have a lot pain in you and I don't even know you. Why would you even post such a comment here when you know "pushy" Christians are going to respond anyway, no matter what you say?. I have been a backslider myself you know.

You just asked for my answer, First The bible is real, It is the only book that is so actual, Heaven is real & hell is real & so is the lake of fire, But for me to be here & push my faith down your throats, I would not do that, because in my 37 yrs. as a Christian, I have learned how to act & to conduct myself & to talk to someone. Let me show you one good example, Jesus Christ NEVER went down every street telling people they were going to hell, Why should we, Time will tell, & God will be their Judge.

Christ told His disciples that when they spread the gospel, if they find those that do not or will not listen, for them to leave them alone, and to shake the very dust from their shoes as they leave.
With this in mind, I may tell someone about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and if they are not interested, then I leave them alone.
If you are speaking about inside this forum, then you are wasting your time, because this is a forum FOR religious discussions. In this case, you just need to go to another page.

OH how I wished they would have just left me alone and quit telling me about how I needed God and Jesus and all.
Now I am a believer and I understand what they were trying to get through to me.
Now I am glad that they did not give up on me.
By the way, you are still a christian. Once he takes up residence in your heart, he promises he will never leave you nor forsake you. You may leave him, but he will never leave you. You are still saved, brother.

I never push, I say my peace, and leave it at that. Spread the Truth, and let God handle the rest. I agree with you, pushy preaching turns more people off than it helps, it certainly did me. Only when I met respectful, open-minded Christians who talked to WITH me rather than TO me did I start to consider what they had to say.

I'm sorry. I agree with you, but I could barely read all that.
Next time, use paragraphs and actually spell out your words.
