At the Council of Nicaea, held A.D. 325, Arius came out with his premisses, which nearly broke asunder the Catholic Union.
Seventeen bishops defended the doctrines of Arius, who was exiled for them. Nevertheless, thirty years after, A.D. 355, at the Council of Milan, three hundred bishops signed a letter of adherence to the Arian views, notwithstanding that ten years earlier, A.D. 345, at a new Council of Antioch, the Eusebians had proclaimed that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and One with His Father.

The purpose of the council was to resolve disagreements in the Church of Alexandria over the nature of Jesus in relationship to the Father; in particular, whether Jesus was of the same substance as God the Father or merely of similar substance.

The deification of Jesus Christ began approximately 70 years after his death, with the writing of the gospels. Jesus himself was a teacher of social and religious tolerance, referring to himself as "The son of man". He therefore made no claims to being "The son of God" he did however say he was of the father, referring to the Hebrew text of Genesis pertaining to the creation as in Man being in the image of god.
The Latin Church experienced a great theological evolution in the 3rd & 4th centuries which may be stretched to include up to the 6th century. Within this "the Cult of Mary" emerged, orginal greek referred to a virgin birth, as one being a virgin until the participation of act of conception.
Another good example of later deitification is Budda, another teacher of social and religious tolerance
Whatever one's beliefs are, and I do not wish to denigrate anyone's belief, it may be well remembered, that the power invested in a god, is limited to the power and therefore numbers of its spiritual adherants.
St Augustines: the City of God is a good read, as are the writings of Justinian.....

Decades after his death.
That's when the authors of the New Testament made up the stories of Jesus. Of course, Jesus, if he existed, was never the son of God. God doesn't even exist. However, that doesn't stop people from believing in such superstition.
Of course, as you indicated, that interpretation of the Bible wasn't really established until the Councils of Nicea and the Catholic Councils of Carthage. And the Bible is written in such a vague way that it can be interpreted as you want.

Yhshua/Jesus was the very first creation by YHWH/Jehovah and then the universe was created by the Father and the Son together. All things were created by him and his Father after he was created.
Colossians 1:15; "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created:things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities [angelic titles]; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together"
so then Yhshua/Jesus became YHWH/Jehovah's Son the day he was created first by YHWH/Jehovah before time started to be counted, before the universe! After Yhshua/Jesus was created then began the creation of everything, so Yhshua/Jesus was the firstborn and only-begotten Son of YHWH/Jehovah before everything!

No year. Jesus has always been. Man does not decide Who Jesus is.
John 1:2 He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
Re 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:
Re 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
Re 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

Whatever the argument was, at that time they had letters like Colossians as their sources:
Colossians 1:15
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created:things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities [angelic titles]; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together"
So he was Son of God, eternally begotten.

Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. He is the creator of all things. No word, thought, or deed of man can change the fact that Jesus is the second person of the Trinity, the Son of God.
