This is for those pro-choice people who use rape as their only legitimate excuse for abortion.
Say that ONLY girls who are victims of rape/incest are allowed to have abortions (and have contacted police)...would that be alright with you? If you cannot agree with that, then rape is definitely not the best excuse for murdering an 'unwanted' child.....

Once that baby is inside the woman (regardless of HOW it got there), she is NOT only taking care of one body anymore...but two. That baby is so real and anything the mother does will affect the child. She has no right to take it's life, just because she happens to be carrying it around.

abortion and the death penalty are 2 totally different things...I am against abortion strictly because the child is innocent and is usually murdered because the 'mom' doesnt want her own life ruined. The death penalty is for those who dont deserve to live here anymore...if you cant respect those living around you, YOU dont deserve to live here.

I would also like to point out even tho I agree somewhat with this the father of the unborn child should have the right to decide rather or not the baby should be aborted. We forget that it takes a man and a woman to make a baby. The man should have as much right as the woman for the baby she is carrying. This women's body so they should have all the rights is BS. Men and women create life together and they both should decide rather or not to terminate it. Unless its rape than the man forfeits all rights to the child by committing an illegal act. I don't support abortion but I believe sometimes it is a necessary evil. I've meant many guys who was devastated by their girlfriend committing an act of betrayal and killing their son or daughter. Talk to a father who has lost his child cause of the Pro-choice laws and I will tell you that you will no longer be pro choice. The laws need to be changed to reflect the rights of the father as well. Talk to a father who had lost his child than tell me this bull about its a woman's body and she has the right to do with it as she pleases. That's a sick idea. It takes both the male and female body to create a child. The baby contains as much of the father as he or she does the mother. Abortion really isn't an excuse when you can give it up for adoption. Weigh the alternitives to abortion cause you can loose your boyfriend or husband as well as your child. Most men are unforgiving when you kill their child...something to think about.

First, can we please stop all this pro-choice, pro-life nonsense. I abhor abortion but believe in the death penalty, so I'm not "pro-life." Just as many "pro-choicers" object to my choice to own a gun, or my choice to kill anyone post-fetus. The pro-abortion people who see that as the only way people should be able to have an abortion are few and far between. I have been to big abortion rallies and many think that it is the womans choice, end of question, no matter what her reasoning. Also, in the case of rape or incest, why would we punish the child by killing it, and add another victim to that crime? Abortion is the most unregulated industry in the country, an uncle can bring in a 16 year old who he raped and feed some lies to the people there, who don't really question these people anyway. Then come back a few months later, and that slaughterhouse won't report it to the police because that would infringe on the rights of the uncle to rape his niece, oops, I mean the girl to have an abortion.

Do you think that 15-18 year old girls who become pregnant are really ready to be a mother? They're still in highschool! I am firmly pro-choice, I believe that when it comes down to it, the mother should have 100% say in what's going to happen to her un-born baby. Rape victims should definitely have the right to abortion, would you want to be reminded of what happened to you every day of your life? I know that I am not ready for a child. I plan on adopting a baby anyways, I mean why bring another life into this world when there's already a baby without a mom out there? Another thing, 50% of all pregnancys dont happens anyways, when women do get abortions, it's not taking a life, when your allowed to get them, that fetus cannot sustain life alone, it's not viable

You are a little mixed up, Pro-Choice people believe that it is up to each individual woman to choose whether or not to have an abortion. That they have total say over their own bodies.
It is Pro-Life people who have a problem with abortion of any kind. Most won't even allow the exception of rape or incest.
What I find interesting that most Pro-lifers are also Pro-Death Penalty. Now how does that work???

What you seem incapable of doing is putting yourself into another woman's shoes... you can talk about "rights," but you don't have the right to make a decision for anyone but yourself.
There are myriad situations that might lead a girl/woman to seek an abortion. Yes, in my mind, the better alternative is to have the baby and give it up for adoption. But then, I've never had to face carrying the child of someone who raped/molested me. I've never had to face being pregnant when it is a risk to my own health and life. I've never had to face being pregnant, knowing my family would disown or harm me for it. Those situations *do* occur. And if you've not been in any of them, you can't say what you would or wouldn't do.
I'm lucky. If I were to become pregnant now, and it was unplanned, I would have support and people to care and help me through it. Not everyone has that. Compassion needs to be shown for the mother, too.

There is no easy answer to this question. Rape is not an excuse...It is a fact... and not an easy thing for a woman to live with. And to have and care for a child from the act of rape is something only a strong woman can cope with.
Under the circumstances...I would have an abortion.

That's not really fair since sometimes when a girl is raped you can't prove it, there is not always physical proof of rape especially if she consensual ex shortly be for getting raped. plus what if a woman gets pregnant and has a high risk pregnancy. its either get an abortion or risk that pregnancy killing you and your baby . would you allow that woman to get an abortion ?? i happen to be 200% Pro-Choice. its only fair that way. our bodies our choice. make abortion ill-legal and woman will still find a way to get an abortion and the they will be putting themselves in danger on top of aborting the baby. how would that sit on your conscious ??? what do you think woman did be for medical abortions ?? its called natural miscarriage aka take a few specific herbs and you've got your self a natural harmless abortion.

what if the child is going to be born with a defect that will allow it to only live a few hours at best?? wouldnt you then spare the child, and allow it to go to God before that horrible tragedy? so if you are pro-life, you believe that it is better to let a crack head whore give birth to a child that will be beaten and neglected until they either die or get dropped off on someone else's door step, is better than sparing that child the pain?? then you run into the question of when is a baby a baby? when is it no longer a sperm? because millions of men each flush hundreds of babies a day if you believe they have souls before a certain point of development. this is a question that will last forever. like which is the stronger sex (women) and did the chicken or egg come first. the above is just my opinion, but you are asking for fire with this question.

Nope. Everyone should have access to an abortion for at least the first three months if they want one. Sorry, it's not a child, and it's not murder. Until it's viable on it's own, it's a parasite.

I don't agree that abortion should be legal only for victims of rape or incest. A woman has the right to choose to have an abortion or carry the fetus to term. Regardless of the reason. I defend a woman's right to choose vehemently.
