Please don't use my question as a forum for Christian vs. Atheist. I just want to know if you've had an experience and what it was. Thanks!!

I think you guys know exactly what I mean but I will rephrase it to humor you: Have you ever had your heart stop and then been revived? What did you experience. Again, I don't want your opinion on what MIGHT happen. I want to know if something DID happen to you.

I had a near death experience when I was 17. I had just had my tonsils out, and when they went to remove the tube, I started hemmoraging. I remember them yelling for the doctor, but then the next thing I knew, I was in the waiting room, hearing the doctor tell my mom that everything had gone fine. I remember thinking, God.... she thinks I'm fine, and I'm not. How can he go back in and tell her that I've died?

Then I was in a green meadow, with a creek between me and my nana - who had been gone for years - and there were other relatives that had died when I was just little as well ( but I seemed to know them ) but when I went to wade through the water to her and everyone else, she pointed her finger at me, frowned and said NO ! I tried again, and she told me to go home, that my mom needed me, but I didn't want to.

I woke up after a 2 week coma, and found that they had to bring me back twice. I had died in recovery, but they kept me going..... obviously - or I wouldn't be talking about it 35 years later. LOL !

I haven't. If you are really interested you should read what the people who have had them have said. A famous person who spoke about it after he was dead (heart stopped) on the operating table was the comedian Peter Sellers. I recall that he was quoted as saying about it, "I will never be afraid of death again". A second one, I believe, was the famous psychologist, Bernard Maslow. You have to do some searching for the believable anecdotes.

The term you are looking for is "Near Death" experience - "After Death" experiences are few, and mostly had by Buddhists and Hindies.

I have never had one, nor do I know anyone who claims to have.

Most Atheists will tell you that it is your brain's last "hurrah" before shutting down. Deists will tell you it's a glimpse of the "other side."

The funny thing about 'after death' experiences is how the tellers of such stories never were dead, to begin with. A 'flatline' in an emergency room only means the heart isn't beating, or pulse isn't detectable. A pulse of one beat every few minutes is enough to survive in some circumstances.
Those who simply need to brag of 'miracles' in their experiences seem bent on trying to convince themselves of it, but sound psychotic to their unfortunate listeners. Like those who claim they are in contact with extra-terrestrials.Yeah, right.

Nope. Once you're dead, you're dead.
