We found a cat in the woods and I buried it under leaves. We gave it a Christian funeral from the Book of Common Prayer. I put a wooden cross with it and a large branch with a cross engraved in it. We fenced it off with a circle of sticks. Then, joking, I gave a funural prayer to the Lovecraft deity Azathoth.
I visited the grave just 20 min. ago. The leaves and sticks were undisturbed, but the mound where the cat was just wasnt there anymore. I looked around puzzled and saw a big hunk of burnt flesh near the grave.
Someone help please! This is really frightening my brother.

No scavanger ate it. It was burnt and nothing around it was. And no one saw us bury it, it was in the woods.

My brother just pointed out that all the leaves were gone from the clearing were we buried it. We piled it with leaves and a scavenger would have pushed the leaves out of the way. Im not sure though
