2 Kings 2:24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

So what did he say to them exactly? I could use a couple of she bears now and again. It would really cut down on the waiting time in checkout lanes.

"Don't you 'bald-head' me! Go get 'em, O lord."

You have to be a recognised prophet, though, and it only works if you're near a bear-inhabited area.

I think you have to follow all the steps.

1) Turn back - important to set the stage properly in order to curse properly.
2) Look on them - looking on is different from looking at. This will be the most challenging step. It's kind of peripheral vision, not a dead on stare.
3) Curse in the name of the LORD - now, I'm not sure if there is a particular curse, or if you just need a curse, but it's important to do it in the Lord's name. So you might need to start out with "In the name of the lord, I curse thee!" which would be a good starting point. If that doesn't work, you can always just try "Curses!" If that doesn't work "Shazam!" and "Shaq-Fu" are worth trying.

This is God we're talking about, not mother earth or something. He can here us, he's here, he's personal, he knows all or languages and all their little nuances. There aren't any magical incantations.
Get to know Him. He sent his son to pay the penalty for your sins so that you could have a relationship with him. Elisha was His prophet, and God showed his prophet here that He cared about him and that he was not just a person God used, but someone that God loved personally and would protect. It also show's that Elsha's love for God was such that he would not stand to see Him mocked.
BTW, in case you're confused about this part of the Bible, the word in used in the Hebrew for "little children" actually denotes teenagers, and young men. Please note also that this group was torn apart and mauled but the Bible does not speak of these young people being killed.
I do believe that if the right situation arose God would send in the bears, so, nobody better mess with me.

Actually, that's a mistranslation...it was "42 youths" which is a term that meant young men. And the bears only mauled 42 indicating that there were many more then 42. So it's more like a mob of young men...and the insults were calling him "bald head" which back then meant leper. They were also saying to "go up" which meant to die. So...now we have a mob of young men hurling insults at the prophet of God and calling for his death.

Thank God for the bears!

The bible says he called down evil upon them in the name of Jehovah. Then the bears tore up 42 kids right in front of their parents. The parents did not teach their children to respect properly the prophet of Jehovah and they were killed.

Let this be a warning to you parents. If you want your children to keep living you must inculcate into them a healthy fear of the true God Jehovah and his modern day messengers.

Rotflmao.

I think you'd have to be a prophet of YHVH and have a bald head Acid Zebra, which I know you don't. :-)

God can call any animal, plant or rock to do whatever He wants done.
Man dose not have that kind of power.
