yet... they can see a baseball from the upper bowl at a major league stadium but can't see a black puck on white ice...
a baseball and a puck are about the same size...!
Can you imagine the outrage if there was a glowing tail on FOX baseball games??

To me the most stupid things I hear about hockey come from the so called "fans" themselves when they cut down other players and teams. It's fine to root for your team and well you should but you'll be eating crow the day the player you dislike the most comes to play for your team. Show all the non hockey fans out there that hockey fans have some class and appreciate those truly skilled players that are very deserving of praise. In todays game you never know who will be on your team next week or next year.

Well didn't hear it but the famous quote about people who heard about the Americans leading in the 3rd Period in the Olympics against the Russians, and someone said boy I hope they keep the lead through the 4th. Although also have people who say they won the Gold by beating the Russians when really that just put them in the Gold Medal game.

LOL - I've heard so many stoooooopid things said by people who obviously don't know the game.
One of the worst was it's too hard to follow the puck.
Another is the sport is too violent. (Thanksgiving Day sales shopping is violent too then I guess).
To really get it, you have to play it a few times. Then you realize how good these players are and what kind of shape they must be in to race from end to end.

Stupidest thing I've heard someone say about hockey, "It's not as rough a sport as football. Football is much more demanding physically and mentally." my friend had never even trie dto stand on skates much less dodge a 200lbs defenseman about to lay a good check on him.

The stupidest thing ever said is "That guy is horrible!" People do not understand that every NHL player is good, that's why they are there. None of the suck. Yes some are better than others, but none of them are bad players. Same is true for all pro athletes. They are better than you and me.

My sister and I went to a hockey game and she acted like she knew so much about the sport and Tyler Wright scored a hat trick and of course hats were flying everywhere and she asked, "Why is everyone throwing their hats on the ice?" I wanted to smack her....
