Well, this won't make it creamier, but I like to add chocolate chips. REALLY good when the cake's warm...and even when it's not!

I usually add a box of instant chocolate pudding, an extra egg, and replace half the water with milk. Also when preparing the cake to be frosted, after it has cooled I brush the tops with a liquor to flavour the cake further. With a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, I sometimes use Amaretto liquer or a brandy.

On my chocolate recipes, I add a packet of Jello Instant Chocolate Pudding mix into the cake mix along with sour cream to make it really moist. Try adding some chocolate pieces into it and it'll be delish!!

i like to add milk and vegetable oil instead of water and butter. it seems to make the cake more moist. also adding instant pudding or chocolate chips gives it more chocolate flavor which is always good. it's a chocolate cake you don't have to do too much more as chocolate is always good.

Use Paula Deen's old standbye & add 1 whole stick of butter more than what the mix calls for ( If it doesn't ask for any, then add 1 stick melted butter during the final mix......oooey gooey butter cakes are what they are called & they are yummy!!
