need the butter - keeps it from sticking to the roof of your mouth. Glad I am not the only one who eats PB & butter. Can't stand jelly

just peanut butter.
one time at school we weren't aloud to have peanut butter in school so I had a Butter and Jelly sandwich. I didn't like it as much as peanut butter though

I usually eat just peanut butter sandwiches but some people I know always put butter on theirs. So you can do either.

I like it both ways. However, if you use butter, the peanut butter doesn't stick to the roof of your mouth as much.

I actually like peanut butter and miracle whip. It makes the peanut butter extra creamy.

If it is for a lunch to be eatten latter, I put the butter on the jam side to keep it from getting soggy if it is just plain peanut butter, you dont need it unless you like it for taste.
