You can't get scabies medications without a prescription.

There is oral Ivermectin, which is dosed according to your weight (12 mg for 180lb man, for instance).
Topically, you might use...
Lindane
Malathion
Permethrin
10% sulfur ointment
I'm not aware of any other treatments. You can try diphenhydramine creams for the itching.

there is nothing that is really going to work to get rid of them without a prescription- i found this out the hardway-there are some websites that sell all natural products that they claim will get rid of them-i purchased some and used it and not only did it not work-in the mean time they were just spreading more.
They have a cream called premethrin and that is waht the dr 's normally predcribe, but you can get in without a prescription online---judt type in the search "buy premethrin without prescription" they right the rx for you-so that way it is legal-also everyone in your household should be treated-even if they dont yet have the symptoms because it can take up to 6 weeks before the itching and rash etc starts---i was not aware of that either and when i was told i had been exposed tothen i didnt think i had them because i didnt have the symptoms-then over a mth later i stratred itching like carzy out of nowhere and did-the earlier we can treat them the better because the mites keep laying eggs (its discusting i know) they say sulpher ointment will kill them but i didnt try it-but it is much cheaper 0 one tube of premethrin was 38 dollars-it may be cheaper with a regular dr prescription im not sure-and make sure you wash and dry all clothes you have worn and sheets etc. Good luck to you i know how miserable a problem this is.

there are no over the counter treatments for scabies. the prescription you need is called Kwell lotion, and you need a prescription for it. many doctors will prescribe it over the phone as they would really rather you didn't bring scabies into their clinics.
