Just because you don't believe in God, you don't have to show everybody around you that you don't believe in God. This country was founded on the beliefs of Christianity, so you know that if you let people know that you are not a believer of God they will get offended. On the back of every U.S. dollar bill it says "In God We Trust"! You use money every single day, so God is always with you where ever you go!!! Ha!! Ha!!

This will be a round about answer...

"Just because you don't believe in God, you don't have to show everybody around you that you don't believe in God."

Hmmmm, this is an illogical arguement since so many Christians flaunt their "Christianity" by wearing crosses and crucifixes.

"This country was founded on the beliefs of Christianity, so you know that if you let people know that you are not a believer of God they will get offended."

Actually that is a fallacy that way too many Christians spout because they hear it over and over again. Most of the founding fathers were Free Masons, more free thinking than the Christians of the time. They specifically put "Freedom of Religion" in the Bill of Rights, just for that purpose. So get off your High Christian Horse and get real.

Now for the real question. I would first ask why you felt the need to wear 666, I am guessing it is a tattoo. I'm sure you knew it would call attention to yourself. You don't have to wear emblems, uniforms, certain clothing or whatever to be who you are. Who you are is what is inside, all the other stuff is just trappings.
Do you want the attention?
I'm sure you know that 666 is the number of the "beast", the Christian God's adversary. So you set yourself up for these comments.
However, having said that, it wouldn't bother me, being a Pagan, I get my share of crap, nor would I have any compulsion to try to convert you. I do believe in letting people be who they want to be as long as they aren't hurting themselves or others.

i am a pagan, and i am accepting of any religion or spirituality that does not harm the believer or others. so, as far as i'm concerned, you could walk around all day with 666 tatooed on your forehead while yelling, "hail, satan!" and i can promise you that you would only get a second of a glance from me, and mostly out of curiousity and nothing else.

as a pagan, i put up with quite a bit of misunderstanding about my religion as well. people see a pentagram on my dashboard or a pentacle around my neck and they assume I worship satan, which is hilarious to me because i don't believe in satan, or any demonic deity in the opposite position of the christian god. i do believe in positive and negative forces, but that these forces are still part of a supreme force.

so in that way i feel your pain. however, i am not naive enough to assume that people will just automatically understand my spirituality. i wish this was so and that the world was a more tolerant place, but as of right now it isn't. so i do my best to present my spiritual beliefs (only when questioned) in an intelligent and mature light so that maybe that person will walk away with a better understanding or at least a tolerance for what they didn't understand before.

becoming angry or defensive just makes others believe that you're a crack pot or a creep.

Because people who dont believe in god or a super natural been more intelligent than us are stupid.
Maybe you think the universe happended from the big bang...so do i, but how did the materials that made the big bang get there? Its like a mouse suddenly appearing in a jam jar for no reason, nothing can ever just be there without something of causing it. e.g. a kid putting the mouse in the jam jar.
Also there are over 100 billion, trillion stars in JUST are galaxy. (Sounds like a stupid number but its on nasas site). And there are MORE THAN TRILLIONS of galaxys, pretty much unlimited due to unlimited amount of space never ending, with unlimitless space the chance of something evolving in the past to become extremely smart and god like, is 99%.

The question you need to ask yourself is why do you wear it?
It seems like the only reason that anyone would wear 666 is because they know that it is the number of the beast, a number generally associated with the devil by most Christians.
So if the reason that you're doing it is for attention, why are you complaining about getting it?

And just in case you're curious, I am not Christian, but it's obvious that you aren't wearing 666 by accident.

You do what you want in the end the truth will be know. Religious people always feel right about what they have to say. What I don't understand is how someone can believe a being blowed dirt into the wind and here we are.

666 is the sign of the devil. Wearing that number will attract demonic spirits. You don't want to mess with that. God loves you

Most symbols were taken by the Christians. The Christians then gave new meanings to these symbols. That's what I learned anyway. So, it's not really the symbol--it's what they've been taught the symbol meant.

Yeah, I get the same thing. It's like running away from math! ...That might not be such a bad idea...

But seriously, it's just a NUMBER!
