I've been on this site for nearly a week now and to be honest I'm getting a bit of an anti christain vibe which to say the least disturbs me. I thought the whole purpose here was to discuss religion and spiritual matters but there seem to be some people who just want to insult and be nasty. Whats the point I mean I'm only trying to discover new things and open my mind is that so bad> Dear dear!

relax-the Messiah loves you heart and soul-and said to go to all the world and share the gospel. He said if they hate me they will hate you too. You have the joy of salvation and the joy of heaven-why wouldnt the others be jealous. They will say all kinds of stuff-some even say the Messiah never came and does not exist today-Millions and many here prove daily he does and is our true friend too.
He gives us the power to love those that hate us and say they are our enemies.

This is what I have to say from prophecy written before our messiah and predicting him perfectly-I say this to others to help them believe

from Adam and Eve we looked for the one to shed his blood for our sins-from their fur covering for the sins of mankind when blood was shed by God to cover them pubicly
Would you ever consider believing Moses or Isaiah?
Moses said without the shedding of blood there is no atonement for sins. Levitiucs 17:11
Isaiah said "He will be despised and rejected. He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins. All we like sheep have gone astray, and the Lord will make to light on him the iniquity of us all. He will die with the wicked and be burried with the rich."

Just say maybe one day I will believe the Jewish prophets and become Jewish according to the Jewish Scriptures-for now I just pray for you and since G-d defines who a Jewish person is, I chose to believe Him. Yeshua said If you have seen me you have seen the Father. I and my Father are one. He is either the Messiah or the biggest liar that ever lived. I believed the former now he is my Jewish messiah and best friend.
Hang in there friend OK? thanks, Shalom=peace Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a child will be born, a son given, and He will be the almighty God, the prince of peace." David

It's impossible to have a discussion without one very important factor. Each person must be able to entertain, if only briefly, the idea that he (or she) may be wrong. I once had this disucssion with a Jehovah's Witness. I told her that in order for us to have a discussion, she had to be able to accept the idea that God had sent her to me for me to enlighten her and not the other way round. If we could each accept the idea the we were wrong and that it was us who would be enlightened, then we could have a discussion, otherwise it would be just a lecture.

The biggest diffulty in having a discussion with a number of the Christian population here is that the first requirement for them is to throw out the application of the rules of empiracle evidence. You must be able to accept the "because it says so in the Bible" argument, totally ignoring any political or personal agendas of the biblical writers or the persons (editors) who assembled it.

It's not all Christian's I dislike, it's just those who lack a use of logic and and use the "because my daddy told me so" argument (disregarding the fact that daddy may be wrong).

Religion is something that has no empirical proof and is highly opinionated and everyone has an opinion especially if this is an open forum. I'm an ex-christian who is agnostic now and do you have any idea how many times good christians on and off this board have told me I'm going to hell? I don't let it bother me as I don't even think it exists, but if you are going to stay on a board such as this you will need to develop a thicker skin.

It's all about judgment. Both sides. Christian or whatever . My experience with christians has for the most part been judge mental, holier-than-thou, and I could go on and on. I spent most of my life as a christian until I woke up. No one, no book or scroll has the right to tell you how to live your life.

probably because so many Christians seem to hate everybody else (i.e. non-Christians, gays, etc., etc., etc..) so much....

Another reason is possibly because of the HUGE spectrum of "Christians" to hate against... Christianity is not just one "religion" anymore... there are so many different and unique and (in some cases) in-fighting divisions of Christianity these days.... You've got the Anglicans against the Catholics... the baptists against the methodists... the ____ against the ______

The basic thing of "Christianity" is a belief in Christ.... but then each group tends to add their own "spin" and story to it....

But I still go back to the first point I made - probably because so many "Christians" are out there spewing hate (instead of Christ's true message of love).... at least the more vocal members of "Christianity".... Look at Phreaky Phred Phelps and his Phanatic Phollowing Phlock and how they picket against funerals - of even non-gay men and women - because of their views on society and sins...

As a Christian I would find it a little boring if I just interacted with fellow Christians all the time it would be like spiritual table tennis,I like the challenge of unbelievers and with the exception of filthy comments would find it not quite the same.

Oh, wah! wah! wah! Try typing Jews into the search engine and read some of those questions. I cannot understand why Christians complain so much when they are in the majority!

Well, Knight of the Old Code, it is quite simple. We deserve it. We are hateful, mean-spirited, and bitter. We tell people that if they don't believe like us they are going to Hell. We aren't tolerant. We aren't understanding. It's no wonder they hate us. I hate us too most days. Most days, I am ashamed to call myself a Christian.
