I refuse to admire a man who is a wimp. He didn't fight anyone and smiled all the time. I wonder why people admire such wimps. I admire people like Julius Caesar, Napoleon, and Alexander the Great, because they fought and killed in battle and didn't smile all the time and claim they were the son of God. Real men fight and yell, not smile and talk softly.

That is your choice. I do not think Jesus was a wimp. He stood up against the teachings and common beliefs of his time. I think that takes courage.

It's so disappointing the way the society and even the church has portrayed Jesus. Sunday School is full of stories of this beautiful loving Jesus. The problem is that's only a small part of who He was. I wouldn't want to follow a whimp either. But that's far from the truth. Picture this...Jesus walks into the temple. Everything about this place and tradition demands reverence. I can just hear people talking in hushed tones, acting like they've got it all together. Then Jesus enters the scene. He sees men selling things and He is furious! He can't stand what these men have done to His Father's house. He actually throws the tables right over (sounds like something out of an action movie) A more manly man you'll never find.
