I met this awesome guy recently.. he is everything and then some, but he says he is enjoying being single, and that he needs time to see if we are compatible, which is cool..but damn I can not lose him..what should I do????

As a guy, usually when we say we are enjoying being single it means, that we are enjoying being single away from you. Of course, over time and through a good friendship anything is possible.

As a man, not just a guy but a real man. (Just so you know a man is a person who sees his duties and carries them out. A person who is strong enough to have other depend on him and not let them down) As I was saying, as a man I can tell you that there is nothing more irresistible on God's earth than a woman who loves him.. I don't know why, but I have found that people are attracted to people or things that they think they can't have. Its like getting a good deal on something you buy. If he knows he can have you then he will want you less. You better not worry at all about it and go about your business as usual. Patience.

You sound pretty young, Debi. Take it easy, and take the time to get to know him, it sounds like you're infatuated. If you try to push the relationship along to quickly it could scare him off. Don't get too wrapped up in him right off the bat, if others ask you to go out, go out with them too, don't wait around for the phone to ring. If he asks you out, take it easy, and take your time to get to know him, he has already told you he likes being single, that's a good sign he might not be ready to go with anyone right now. So play the field, but don't get too attached right now, and if he gets a chance to get to know you, and wants to go with you, great, but if it doesn't work out, you will wind up heartbroken if you invest too much of yourself in hoping for a relationship with someone who might not want one...

Just be yourself and get to know him. if it works out, great. if not then it was never meant to be and there are plenty of other fish in the sea. Pray for wisdom and direction and trust that God is in control.
