How can I Make my legs smaller?

To focus specifically on your legs/butt--squats and lunges are the best exercises to tone up that area.

Be careful when doing them, to do them very slowly. On the first couple days just try out a few. Your quad muscle is very strong so you won't notice when it starts to get sore. However if you pull one of the fibers your workout will be shot for days.

Do about 10 lunges, putting the back knee down as close to the ground as possible. Think more elevator--going up and down, than side to side.

Squats are great. Leg lifts work the outter and inner thigh. The best one is to lay down on your side on the ground. Put your top leg out in front of you at a 45 degree angle. Lift that leg up and back down at a 45 degree angle to the back. Then back up in the air, and back down to the front angle. That is one lift. Try to do 20 of those. It will burn like crazy but is a great exercise to slenderize the thighs.

And overall the cardio mentioned in the above posts will help a lot. But these are great exercises that provide a LOT of benefit and take almost no time to do them.

Make your legs smaller? I guess you mean that you have extra fat in your legs... if that is the case, keep in mind that you can only lose fat by doing cardio exercises. The good news is that there are a lot of cardio exercises that focus on your leg muscles so you will be able to choose something that will burn fat while building muscle in your legs.

You could try walking at a fast pace, jogging/running, elliptical machine, biking. All are great cardio exercises and all of them are also great for your legs.

If you run it actually makes your legs bigger even if they are toned. Try low impact exercises that work on elongating the muscles rather than bulking them up so much. Flutter kicks are good and hello dollies are good to for this. I would not consider over-exercising especially if you have not worked out for a while and always be sure to stretch first.
