In 1921 16 year old teenaged Dalí' mother died, and he painted a Self-portrait . He had done charcoal drawings and had them in an exhibit prior to this in 1919 after having attended a drawing school since 1916 (age 11). But even more impressive is "Landscape Near Figueras - by a six-year-old Salvador Dali in 1910". This is confirmed as the earliest by 2 sites below.
