I lost my dad back in 2003. Since that day I have been wondering who I should have walk me down the aisle, and now that it ha come up I am in a dilema. I have 3 people in mind. My mom, my dad's mom and my best friend (who is a male and was there for me when I lost my father). I am leaning more towards my best friend, but The other 2 are actually family....I am so confused...

My dad had died two years before my wedding. I asked my mom to walk me down the aisle, but she didn't want to. I didn't want anyone else to, like a brother, and I didn't want to walk alone. So my man and I walked in together, and the attendants walked in as pairs before us, and it was really nice.

I'd go with your mom she gave birth to you she should be next in line to give you away. LOL. My moms giving me away because I have two fathers and couldn't pick between them. So yeah I go with your mom not just because she gave birth to you, but also because she is your closes family mamber. As for a date what about Jul. 4 or Oct. 31 or april 1 all good days.

Go with who will make you feel the most comfortable. It's not a long walk but you should take it with someone that can help you relax a bit.

Pick your best friend, He will feel very honored that you chose him. Your mom is already mother of the bride.

You could have your best friend stand up for you. One of my best friends in college had me stand up for him, and his wife had two guys stand up for her. It was an interesting wedding, and nobody had any objections to bridesguys or groomsmaids.
