there is a really weird girl in my school i went to the locker room to fix my hair and i saw her crying and i felt bad for her she told me it wasn't that serious but still felt like crying. She asked me what should she do about her obsesive shyness. She wants to play sports that she likes but she has never played before and they told her that if she doesn't play sports no college will acept her ; they will but it will look better on her presentation. I felt really bad for her what do you guys think i should tell her to make her feel better.

(ps. she looked like she was about to die crying)

The best thing you could do is be a friend to her to help her get over her shyness and for god sake don't let her hear you call her weird and I hope she does not read this it would not be hard to figure out its about her it will only make her feel worse.

Tell her to be her self, people will like her for who she is. the reality is that only a small % of people make it to college on athletic scholorship. Tell her to find something she likes, theater, choir, math, engligh. . . whatever it is if she is good enough at it, then she could get a scholorship for it. If she wants to play sports then she should try, she might not make a team at school her 1st try, but she could play at the Y or something, then maybe the second time around she could make the team.

I don't believe it is in your power to make her feel better, other than listening to her, which was nice of you to do.

You can try to be as friendly to her as you can be and report any one you see being mean to her, but other than that I don't think there is much you can do.
