Sounds to me as if you have led a fairly charmed life.

There are plenty of us who have been unknown in school...in fact, the only reason anyone in middle school knew me, was to because they all hated me. Out of four years of high school, my photo was left out of two of the yearbooks (from two different schools, no less!)...how can that happen?

There are all kinds of forgotten and anonymous people out there. My challenge to you is to find them, and befriend them, so as to help avoid more incidents like this in the future.

They said he was a loner. There is a term in education called a "ghost" student. It's someone who sits in the back, doesn't answer questions, and does everything they can to not be noticed. Sounds like that is what this guy was.

It's actually pretty easy when you go to a big school. If you go and sit in the back of a large class and never say anything to anyone, then go to lunch and eat alone, and go back to your room and hole up there for the rest of the day on your computer or something you won't meet hardly anyone.

Loner--and who would want to say--now--that guy was my friend?
