I think this is a wise question to ask yourself. I can say, sitting in this chair, no I'm not afraid to die, because I believe in the promises of God for those who love His son.

Now if someone came up to me and pulled a gun and pointed it at my head....I would guess I might feel some fear. But that fear would not negate any of God's promises, if they pull the trigger!

By the way, someone did pull a gun on me once. I was 15 years old, a clerk at a drug store. I was robbed at gunpoint. And he said "don't watch where I'm going when I leave, or I'll kill you". As I recall...I stood frozen to that spot for about ten minutes. And I wasn't a Christian at the time!

I'm gratefull that you don't want to die. For I believe that 'Life' is a Gift of God!

I for one - Have No Fear of Death!!!!!! I Trust the Word of the Lord! I'm Gratefull that He called me!!!!!

I already Have Faced Death in My Own Life - Including a Gun! Thank YOU for sharing that - I'm Gratefull that nothing like you being 'SHOT' happened to you!

I'm really not feeling I will die - I feel that 'Rapture' IS SOON! The Biblical Prophecy of Old Testement and the Promises of the New Testement ARE COMMING TRUE!!!!!!

Even with the tremdous tragidy that happen yesterday (4-16-07) in Virginia! Things like 'That' are prophecied in Matthew 24!!! I wrote it down on one of these blogs on the internet just today!

It's amazing to me that WE are living in this GENERATION! Jesus Himself said "This Generation will not pass away!" Describing exactly what IS happening TODAY!!!

I know that Preachers and the like have been 'Preaching' that 'their time' was it - WELL, Isreal was not a Nation for over 2500 years until 1948! This, now IS the time that Jesus Himself spoke of.

Look At the World Today: The War in Iraq, The Threats from Iran, North Korea, Science in General, All the Medical Advances, The Famines of Africa, All the Pestilences in the World, and All the Archeological Finds that have happened in the past 30 years - since after Isreal! The approval of Isreal happened - EXACTLY as spoken in the Book of Daniel in the Old Testement! Also the Financial Trade in the World, The European Union, The Division of People's Hearts, The Extreme Weather, The Many Earthquakes and Where they have been.

My God it's like reading the Bible when you watch your News on television and in the all-over Periodicals. Even Planes and Space travel are Prophecied in the Bible - Yes We are Living in The Latter Days.

God Bless You and Take Care of Yourself!!!!

I am not afraid of dying. Not at all. I am a little worried about how it will happen. My big fear is being trapped in myself- either in a comma or with some weird mind thing like Alzheimer's, dementia. Except that I appear out of it to the world but really inside my mind and body- I am totally with it. I know everything that is going on and just can't express that to anyone. that is the only thing about it that freaks me out. Heck that could be years and years before death. I'd rather just drop dead instantaneously. That scares me more than a painful death due to disease or a serious wound.

No one has experienced death, because death is basically an absence of experience.

I'm not necessarily afraid of dying. Unless I see it coming, like a plane crash, I won't even know when it happens. But there are a lot of things I need to finish before I die, so dying today would be very untimely.

I do fear for those I leave behind and wonder if they will be able to get along without me.

i think most people are not afraid from death as a state, they are just fear the way that they could die from, for instance i might get a quick an non painful death or i might suffer from cancers or AIDS and suffer a lot before i finally pass away, in this is the same opinion of mine, i am not a fraid from death but i am afraid from the causes

There is nothing to be afraid of concerning death, besides the pain that may occur just before. Death is not a problem, life holds all the pain.

Pain Before Death? Yes. The Unknown? a little. Death? No.

Of course. Fear of death is a good way to stay alive. I do not believe in an afterlife, so I'd like to enjoy as much time here as I can. As long as the fear of death doesn't impact what you enjoy doing I see nothing wrong with it.
