Seriously, the communist government of China has quadrupled it's economic capabilities through US out sourcing thus increasing the demand for oil. Sure our clothes and toys are cheap, but gas is now 3 bucks a gallon. As for Illegal immigration, sure our veggies are a couple cents cheaper but now we have to pay more in Taxes.

It's time we define who America is. This Administration and ones of the recent past has not had the majority of Americans even on their radar screen, our money, yes, but not us. Our government officials are not Americans who care about our country as much as they care about their pocketbooks. Something has to happen to make our country as great as it can be again. I wish I knew what that something would be? How can they justify being so far in debt to a communist country (China),? And importing our weapons and military hardware from China, made to our specs. These are traitors to our great country, I wish more people would realise this. I, mean our politicians, they are selling us out. How can anyone still be defending them? Republican or democrat, they are the same. I'll be looking to vote for a new party next time. the reason why the inflation rate is what it is is because it doesn't take into consideration the cost of gas or food. If it did it would sure be alot higher.

I think they figure if they tell us that long enough we'll eventually beleive it. As each day goes by it makes me more and more firm in my stance that they don't have a CLUE as to what's going on! There hasn't been one thing they have told me that was for my "best interest" that has ended up that way. Cheap junk, toxic imported food, unsafe items and my prices still go through the roof. I am NOT any better now than ANY other time since I've been alive for the exception of the computer. Health care is worse, food is worse, clothes are cheap, nothing lasts, customer service is null and void, not the least bit safer, schools have done a nose dive.......no....it's not better at all in my opinion.

$3.00 a gallon? Wow it's $ 4.00 bucks here and the administration is saying "better get used to $5.00 per gallon by summer." Big business is moving their production to china because its cheaper. Our government only cares about the almighty dollar. Step up and demand your congressional leaders to do something. Talk is cheap, time for action

I agree with you, it doesn't benefit the economy in any shape or form.

B. How does being able to have cheap labor benefit the country? It just makes it that there is not any way that people can go above the poverty level or even be able to afford to get a college degree let alone to be able to eat! Look at Mexico..they are corrupted and refuse to help their people and now we are having a literal invasion of the people which includes Hep. B, TB and drugs, let alone theft.

Because it really does benefit the economy. Outsourcing jobs or brining in cheap-labor illegals increases economic efficiency. It keeps inflation from accellerating as quickly (in part by depressing wages), and, because it moves less productive jobs out of the measurable domestic economy, it increases productivity.

Contrary to common assumptions, though, a stronger economy isn't always better for everyone, especially in the short term.
