Ok here is the situation. I do the hiring at my job and a friend asks me to get her BF a job and I did. Now a few months later she desided that she does not like her job and wants to quit, she asks me if I can get her on I told her i would let her know. Between the time she asks me about a job my boyfriend needed one also. So I hired him first. Now my friend is pissed off and is not talking to me. Was I in the wrong for hiring my BF instead of her. If she would have waited and not have been a bitc* she could have gotten a job to.

If she isn't talking to you just because you didn't hire her before your boyfriend - I'd assume she isn't that great of a friend. She made it your concern to find her a job - did she look elsewhere for work instead of automatically depending on you? You also did not make it sound as if you PROMISED her the job. Did she want the job for the fact it is where her man works? Not knowing what type of job it is - you make it sound as if you are in charge of hiring. Under your responsibilities - you have the full right, it seems, to hire as you see fit. Your friend should not judge you based on that right. The main problem I sense is that you hired your boyfriend - I'm not sure of your business policy, but I'd be REALLY hesitant, in the future, in hiring a significant other or relative. If things went south between the two of you - you have that constant reminder, plus it gets in the way of fair dealings with other employees and customers. Give her some time and space and maybe your friendship will come back to surface...
