If you've ever been on a tour of Loch Ness, do you know which one you went on?

Was it worth it?

I'm not asking if you've seen Nessie, lol ... I'm interested in the lake itself and the castles.

I haven't been on one myself but there are boat tours departing from the Loch Ness Centre at Drumnadrochit on the east shore of Loch Ness. There may be similar tours from Inverness as well but Drumnadrochit is the main centre; it's also where the museum and and ruined castle is which is well worth a visit.

If you're driving alongside Loch Ness then I'd recommend taking the minor roads along the opposite side from the main road - much, much nicer and loads of places to stop alongside the Loch. You may find some 'Nessie Spotters' with their binoculars and cameras at the ready, can be interesting to chat with.
