I was curious about the english language and how important it is being knowing the number of people who speak english. But if a person speaks english, spanish, and french how many people can he speak or what percent of the people on earth can he speak to?

Well, about the english, I don't know, but with Spanish you can communicate with most countries of Latin America and other countries as well. Spanish is the third most common language in the world. About French, you can communicate with people from France, Canada, many countries of Africa, Switzerland, Belgium, and some others.
In Canada some people refuse to speak english and use only French

Nationalistic countries sometimes do not have much knowledge of English, like most in eu countries where films are translated to their own languages....you find few english cinemas!
Asian countries use english as the medium of communication in schools so thats a bit easy. Spanish would be nice and some words are the same in filipino, italian and french , try also German coz that's the most difficult language I encountered.

All of South America for Spanish, except Brazil where Portuguese is spoken
Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa where English is spoken, and India and Pakistan where it was taught in colonial times.
France, Quebec, certain countries in Africa, Algeria, Congo, where French was spoken
Don't be deceived that English is spoken everywhere. People in hotels may speak it but don't expect it at non-tourist places

AWESOME CHART
There are many countries that have a mix of official languages. Belgium is just one example.
I'd say Spanish, and Arabic, and Chinese.
