When Jesus was being crucified, He said
"Father, forgive them, they know not what they do...."
If Jesus was willing to forgive even His own murderers, then yes, murder is a forgivable sin.

For the born-again child of God, there is no unforgivable sin; not even murder. All sin was forgiven at the cross. When Christ Jesus said, "It is finished" (John 19:30), that statement meant that the penalty for all sin was paid in full. The word translated "it is finished" is the Greek word “tetelestai.” That word was used in several ways. It was used to stamp "paid" upon a receipt, and it was also the stamp put on a criminal's charges once he had completed his sentence. A "tetelestai" was nailed to the door of his house proving that he had indeed paid in full for his crimes.
Of course, the fact that a believer is secure in his salvation does not mean he is free to sin. If the Christian sins and remains in that sin, Scripture says that God will discipline him or her just as a father disciplines his children (see Hebrews 12:7-11).

I would say so if you are truly sorry for what murder you or someone else commited, but only God can decide that. Most likely, it is anyway. Jesus died on the cross to forgive sin so all sins, even killing somebody can be forgiven.

Yes.

Before his name change to Paul, the Apostle, he was Saul, who killed Christians on behalf of Rome. He was also a witness to the stoning of Stephen when he was a child, holding the coats - I understand - of those throwing stones.

The only unforgiveable sin named in the Bible is blasphame against the Holy Spirit [Mat. 12:31]. Since the Holy Spirit is a gift to those who have faith in Christ, I believe this sin involves the sincere rejection of God by the previously faithful. Once blotted from the Book of Life, always blotted out, as I understand it.

In islam the only sin that is not forgivable is making more than ONE god. That doesnt mean murder is guaranteed forgiven. It means making plural gods is the only thing that is for sure unforgivable

In Hinduism, it wouldn't always be a sin, it depends on the purpose, as for all religion, I guess!

Basically, Hindm believes in the soul, and if there's death, it's only at the physical level, as soul can't die nor 'kill' its kind!
Know also that it won't always be 'unforgivable' in God's eyes, as you'll be expiring this karma in this lifetime or the other!

As far as the purpose of that killing is concerned, Hindm also
elaborated the 'varna'-system or 4 basic categories, professionally speaking, the intellectuals(teacher/priests etc), the warriors(soldiers/ policemen), the pple in commerce, and those at the service of others or manual workers! Each come with a purpose and duty towards society, and it is taken for granted that the soldier's dharma(duty) is to kill, eliminate whoever's a threat to his people and Government! If whatever he does is in accordance with his specific dharma, then there's no problem!

When your're asking how God judges this action, it feels that He is someone to be pleased! Well, God is important, but worrying abt the consequences of one's actions is before anythg else most meaningful to oneself, as WE will be paying for our karmas! And purpose/motivation behind acts determine the consequence, nt the act itself!!!

I have always been told, that God forgives. I believe that if you ask for his forgiveness and are truly sorry for your sin, you will in fact be forgiven. God does not hold grudges, he loves unconditionally, he believes that there is good in all of us. So my answer is yes. If the person who sins, is truly sorry and turns his life to God, then he will be forgiven.

Moses was a murderer.

David was a murderer.

There were others, but those two come to mind immediately.

Not to mention the large number of times that what we would consider murder, by any modern definition, is commanded in the Old Testament.

Yes. The Apostle Paul is a premiere example of this..as he presided over the stoning deaths of Christians, before his encounter with Jesus. Not to mention King David in the Old Testament.
