Death is a natural part of the cycle of life. According to hospital monitors I was all but brain dead but they couldn't be sure because they were too busy trying to revive me. The process is an interesting one and most peaceful. In any other situation I think I would have been scared sh-tless, but finding out how the body actually starts to shutdown is rather peaceable. (nerve wracking for the hospital staff, though, especially with family present)
I think we are mostly afraid of HOW we die, not so much the actual process, anyway, that is how I approached the situation, but I think that is because there seemed to be nothing to fight against, so I just went with the flow.
I am not afraid of death anymore, it's just that little short journey most of us have to go through to get there. Everyone is afraid of the pain. Once you get past that, it's a snap.

I believe the answers vary depending on your religion and or ways of life. It has been said for years that you are not afraid of death until you come in contact with God.
I am surely afraid of the pain that could be inflicted upon me before i die but afterwards when i'm dead you have no reason to be afraid because it already happened, you feel no pain because your body is no longer alive.
Everyone dies and no one is everlasting, so its a way of life. Some look forward to death and standing outside heavens gate and other grieve from previous deaths in their families. i believe its all in who you are and what you believe in.
I know that when i die and am lucky to go to heaven it would be perfect. the most magical place in the world. You get to be what you want where you want and how you look. Who should be afraid of euphoria and being in the presence of the lord that created our souls?
Hope i helped. =] God Bless ^j^

Im afraid of the pain that might be with death. I do not want a painful death, or a death that i know is about to happen.
Im also scared that this is it! That we will almost be sleeping for eternity. I guess I wouldnt care, but i love life and i cant imagine not living again

No I'm not afraid to die because I believe the life after we die will be wonderful, but I am afraid of how I will die. I don't want to die painfully or long and drawn out.

Death is a natural part of life. I don't want to die, but I have accepted that, in time, it will happen.
My grandfather gave me this powerful piece of wisdom regarding death:
Leave it alone. When the time comes, it will take care of itself.

Sorry guys, i think anyone who claims he is not afraid of death is telling a lie, either he(or she) is decieving us or himself...
because its easy to say that you don't fear death when you are quiet away from it, but when you come to contact with it, i mean really contact, like for example someone dies who is very close to you, or you experience a car accident that you get out from it in one piece with a miracle,, then at that moment the idea of death strikes you in your head as a bullet..!
off course you might thought of me a helpless depressed person.. but the problem is that death is pretty real and scary..
I think the only solution for that problem is repentance.. only when you come close to God(and when you do that you feel it inside) you loose your fear not only for death but for everything.. you feel peace( you are in God's hands), joy (you are accepted and loved from the perfect beauty--> God).
let's pray together that we all can repent honestly so we can deserve God's peace.

I'm not afraid to die because Jesus Christ is my lord and savior. I was saved at age 14, I'm now 17. I know that Heaven and not Hell awaits me.
