OK, so let me get this straight. All this guy had to do, after shooting and killing over 30 innocent people, was stand there, ask for forgiveness, really, really mean it, and he will get to go to Heaven, right? As long as he asks and acccepts JC as his personal savior, then hes in, right? N matter how horrific his actions were. Am I correct on this?
I dont care about the fact that he shot himself. Suppose the cops had shot him? Would he be able to get in then? If he did what he was supposed to do.

According to certain types of Protestant theology, that is correct. If he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, even if one minute before his death, the shooter will be in Heaven right now. However, not all Protestant groups, and certainly not all Christians, share this viewpoint.

This is what the Bible says:

Any person who murders cannot find forgiveness or anything else as long as they are in the flesh; this is why scripture is clear that they must be executed and sent to the Father, where they will be confronted by the victim or victims. At that time, we do not know how God will judge. We are unable to read the heart of another human being, and thats why we can't be judges.
The boy may have had a brain tumor for all we know at this point - we just don't know,
and really we will never truly know the boys
state of mind when he did this horrific thing.
Lets just allow God to do his work, and we
can do ours by comforting those and praying for those victims and their families.

I visited Blacksburg very last 365 days and the persons of that community are style, beneficiant, and in basic terms mind-blowing all round. it truly is undesirable yet authentic that "undesirable issues ensue to sturdy human beings". I convey regret that you've confronted some backlash from this. I actually have not for this reason a techniques experienced any sick will. all and numerous i have met has been in basic terms as mortified as me.

That's really up for God to decide, and I am not a theologin but I would say unless he really is sorry, then he will go to Heaven, but I wouldn't think he is going to heaven. It's almost impossible to be held accountable for one of the most horrific school disasters in history and then after 3 hours later ask for forgiveness.

Ok as a Christian I know that even if he would of asked God for forgiveness and accepted Jesus as his savior he still would of gone to hell because he shoot him self. Killing your self is a sin regardless. And if the cops would of shoot him, only God can judge him and that would be up to God. But the fact is that he is in hell because he killed himself.

We are not to judge the souls of others, his fate is between him and God.

Even if he did ask for and receive forgiveness, that does not take away temporal punishment for sin, according to the Catholic Church. Some Protestant groups believe in the once saved always saved doctrine, but Catholics do not.

I would not want to be in his shoes right now, besides even if he asked for forgiveness, Suicide is another sin.

Again, we are human and not able to judge others, I have my guess where he is though........

And I know where he is not.

Peace!

No. You have it wrong. A person can't pull true repentance out of a hat. Jesus said that no one can come to Him unless the Father draws him.

A person shouldn't say to himself, "I will murder now and repent later." That isn't "repentance." It doesn't work. Saying, "I am going out to commit murder," is the road to hell.

On the other hand, murderers can be saved by GOD's grace by faith in Jesus Christ.

As far as the VT shooter IT IS NOT FOR US TO JUDGE. GOD is the Judge. Period.

I don't think so if he REALLY REALLY meant to Serve God he wouldn't of done that so the answers is sadly he is in Hell. he had the choice to not shoot every one but he chose to sin by Murdering people. But you don't have to die in your sins you can be saved!

We choose our path but we can't say for sure ONLY God really knows we can repeat what the Bible says but we don't
really know why he did that still he Murdered himself so I guess you know what happens after that (sadly).

Yup - as long as he ddidnt comit suicide, then he would be in Heaven. Great religion huh??

I mean, I suppose it is nice to think that God is so loving he would actually forgive this creep for his crimes. However, Id at least like to think that God would force him to sit in the corner for half of eternity and think about what he did before he was allowed out to play with everyone else....

21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(New Testament | Matthew 7:21)

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
(New Testament | James 2:14,18, 20-24,26)

24 And see that ye have faith, hope, and charity, and then ye will always abound in good works.
(Book of Mormon | Alma 7:24)

4 And those who receive it in faith, and work righteousness, shall receive a crown of eternal life;
(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 20:14)
