they say "we are Christian because we except Jesus" but they except a Mormon Jesus, not the Jesus I know from the bible.

they say"we are Christian" yet no Christian excepts them as a Christian.

they say"we believe in 3 Gods"(the Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit) yet the Christians say"our God is ONE"

they say"there will be marriage in heaven" but Jesus says"there will be no marriage, nor any given in marriage" are they saying Jesus is a lier?

they say"we can become Gods" but God says"there is no other Gods"

they dress like business men, no crosses on their churchs

I could go on and on....

Why won't they except that THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIANS? and not the true church of Jesus Christ.

The reason we don't ACCEPT this is because we don't believe that way. You interpret the Bible differently than we do, but that does not make us wrong and you right.

If we accept a "different Jesus" than you do, then you need to take a good long look at the Jesus you worship.

We don't believe in THREE Gods.

Jesus did not say that NO one wuld be married in heaven. What He said, and this is word for word from both Matthew and Mark, in the resurrection, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage. That says to me, that if you are not sealed NOW, you won't get that chance AFTER the final resurrection. But, as Jesussaid to Peter, what you bind on earthshall be bound in heaven. God sanctified marriage, and the Bible also saysthat what God does, it's forever. Besides, why wouldGod sanctify marriage, if it doesn't last forever? What good is it if it ends with death?

Paul told the Romans and the Galatians that as sons ofGod, we can be heirs of Gd and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. When God said there is no othergods, He meant, that FOR US, there are no other gods. If we becme asGod is, that doesnot take awayfrom His kingdom; in fact, it adds to His kingdom and glory.

Our missionaries dressin suitand ties. Most men dressin a suit for church, but not all. As for crosses on our buildings, what's the big deal? I don't see anything that says Thou shalt wear crosses around thy neck and the noisiest jewelry you have.

We ARE the Church of JESUS CHRIST of latter-day Saints. We believe and accept Jesus Christ, the ONLY Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Saviour. Why can't YOU accept that we ARE Christian?

The Jesus Christ from the Bible is the same Jesus Christ of the Book of Mormon. Both books testify of his life, love and gospel.

I believe I am a Christian because I learn of, follow and love Jesus Christ, my Savior. That is why I am a Christian.

We do not believe in "3 gods", We believe in God, the Eternal Father who is the Supreme Creator. He is the Father of our spirits - including Christ. Christ was the Firstborn to the Father in the spirit world, so that makes him our elder brother, as we are all spirit brothers and sisters. We believe Jesus Christ is literally the Son of God, thus also making him a God, not just man. He created our world and our bodies, he suffered and died for our sins. Therefore we worship Him as the Lord and Savior of mankind. The Holy Ghost we believe is a personage of a man, a spirit, he does not have a body. He is the one who testifies to our spirits truth. Therefore, we believe they are all separate beings, but ONE in purpose and love.
The quote I believe you are talking about is where Christ is explaining that those who do marry by his law will not be married in the next life - his law means under the authority of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, which the LDS male members hold.

No, there are no other gods we worship. I believe there are other "gods" out there somewhere, but I do not know of them or worship any other than my Heavenly Father through his Son, Jesus Christ.

What's wrong with dressing nicely?? We also want to focus on his life and resurrection, not the way he died.

If a "Christian" in your eyes believes other than what I have just stated we believe, then I don't want to be "that" kind of Christian...
Thanks for asking.

Why don't muslims, hindus, former Branch Davidians and Warm Eskimos accept (or except) the Truth?

What the hell IS Truth?

Is your god better than mine? Can Spiderman beat up Superman? Until god takes a little more responsibly for being the 'boss' of creation, I'll keep a little plastic figure of Andy Griffith on my dashboard.

first of all us Mormons do not believe in 3 gods, we believe in god the father, his son Jesus Christ, and the holy ghost

second, God never says that there are no other gods, he says he is a jealous god and thus we should worship none other than him,

and we believe in a slightly different bible, because it has been widely accepted that the king James version is "the most closely translated version of the bible" however we believe that the modern prophet Joseph Smith, not only translated the bible but has also made a few changes to the bible which are listed in the footnotes as Joseph Smith Translations (JST)

I would ask that you read the bible with these JST's and then read the Book of Mormon and then you will be able to understand both positions of the argument and be able to ask a more informed question.

I am sure you are a lovely person, with perhaps a lovely singing voice.
You are greatly mis-guided in your beliefs about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
You should explore things for yourself and not listen to gossip and here-say.
Yes, your spelling was bad, and I found that funny, but maybe it will help someone like me ( a Mormon) if you could perhaps list the sources of your beliefs, such as scripture references.
I could go on, refuting all things that you have had to say, but maybe you could contact me and we could chat about it.

Simply because what you accept as truth, is not what we accept as truth.

You use only the Bible, and we use both the Bible and the Book of Mormon.

You use Bible to say we are wrong, inturn we could use the Book of Mormon to confirm what we believe in the Bible.

To end my point, please ponder the following:-

3 And because my words shall hiss forth—many of the Gentiles shall say: A Bible! A Bible! We have got a Bible, and there cannot be any more Bible.
4 But thus saith the Lord God: O fools, they shall have a Bible; and it shall proceed forth from the Jews, mine ancient covenant people. And what thank they the Jews for the Bible which they receive from them? Yea, what do the Gentiles mean? Do they remember the travails, and the labors, and the pains of the Jews, and their diligence unto me, in bringing forth salvation unto the Gentiles?
5 O ye Gentiles, have ye remembered the Jews, mine ancient covenant people? Nay; but ye have cursed them, and have hated them, and have not sought to recover them. But behold, I will return all these things upon your own heads; for I the Lord have not forgotten my people.
6 Thou fool, that shall say: A Bible, we have got a Bible, and we need no more Bible. Have ye obtained a Bible save it were by the Jews?
7 Know ye not that there are more nations than one? Know ye not that I, the Lord your God, have created all men, and that I remember those who are upon the isles of the sea; and that I rule in the heavens above and in the earth beneath; and I bring forth my word unto the children of men, yea, even upon all the nations of the earth?
8 Wherefore murmur ye, because that ye shall receive more of my word? Know ye not that the testimony of two nations is a witness unto you that I am God, that I remember one nation like unto another? Wherefore, I speak the same words unto one nation like unto another. And when the two nations shall run together the testimony of the two nations shall run together also.

(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 29:3 - 8)

You are partially correct, morons are a cult. They fit 8 of the 10 criteria. However, you have no reason to propagate your beliefs as "the truth." Truth is objective. It can be proven by scientific analysis and testing. For instance, it is the truth that Dick Chaney is the Vice President of the United States. When it comes to religion, however, things get a bit tricky. What makes your truth any more true than that of the ancient Greeks and their Olympian Gods? I assure you, they would have vehemently defended their faith as truth just as you defend yours.

Try this; find an Iraqi War veteran who has lost his leg to a roadside bomb. Then gather 100 of the most faithful people of each of the world's top religions (Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.). Heck, throw in a few extra Christians just for good measure. Now, have all these people pray to their all-powerful God to have this soldier's limb grow back. There's no reason for God not to help him grow it back. It would be child's play for the creator of the universe. It's not selfish (unlike praying for riches) and it would glorify God. It would also inspire others to believe in God by serving as firsthand proof of his love, glory, etc. Unfortunately, you know as well as I do that it won't happen. It will remain a stump until the day he dies.

Your contention is that you should live your life by an untestable, unprovable hypothesis and in the end, after you die, all will be revealed to you. Seems a little contrived to me.

I am Mormon and I find your tale to be quite askew from the truth. God says that we shall have no other gods before him. We do not put any gods before him. We believe that the godhead consists of three separate beings that are one in purpose and unity in aim. They act together not individually. In the reference to marriage for eternity, Christ may have been referring to the fact that only the first or none of the seven at all had their marriage sealed. We do not worship the cross nor do we worship the death. We worship Christ and God and focus on the resurrection and the atonement in the Gethsemane.
Also, we do not need to be accepted by other Christians to call ourselves Christian. We believe in Christ and his truth. We dress respectfully when we attend church and the temple out of respect for God.

But you are right, we are not Christians the the way that you want to classify it. We don't believe in the trinity. We believe in Christ and his church as he organized it.
