It depends on how much you owe. The only thing the law addresses is that no matter how many garnishments you have, you must take home minimum wage....before taxes.

It's not how much they take its how much they leave you with. They take everything OVER a certain amount depending upon how many dependents you have and if you are HOH, married or single.
While most garnishments are limited to 10 to 25 %, child support is limited to 50-60% of the disposable earnings. IRS get to take anything over a certain amount for example if you are single and can only claim yourself and you are paid weekly then you get to take home 168.27 (this is before any "optional deductions" like health insurance or such)
IRS PUB 1494 has a table that shows you how much they leave you.

It's usually depends on how much money you owe them...but it could run between 20-35% of your wages, which could be a good chunk if you owe alot. My mother owed them over $1,000 and even if she made about $300+ on her check, she usually only came home with around a little over $100, so...it really depends on how much you owe, some will actually work with you and make other types of arrangements to pay. I hope all is well, and really hope everything works out in your favor.
God Bless!

They usually take 75% of what you have in there and leave you with nothing.
