No.

What are you praying to, some sky daddy???? idiotic.

If the planet earth has 6.5 billion people on it, and it is the size of a grain of sand somewhere in the universe the size of the state of Colorado, tell us all you are not soooo retarded as to believe there is a sky daddy up there listening to your little puny wishes. Tell us all that you are not so egotistical as to think your little puny life means anything in the greater scheme of the universe. OMG. are there really people like you still left on the planet? OMG do they let you vote? christ, no wonder the US is in such a bind.

No, it's a silly useless gesture that doesn't have one bit of logic going for it - makes no sense whatsoever

Why pray to a god who knows everything and what he's going to do before you even pray for it?

How silly

It's a placebo for the weak minded

Absolutely. I think it helps the one praying, too.

actually, research has shown that persons who are prayed for (during recovery from surgery) actually fare worse than those who are not prayed for. of course, they knew that people were praying for them and it may have affected their ability to think positive (they thought, if people are praying for me, i must be in bad shape)...
