as the meat is already cooked, you can do this recipe & reduce the cooking time to 40 mins
Serves 4
675g (1½lb) Braising Steak
397g (14oz) tin Chopped Tomatoes
300ml (½ pint) Red Wine Or Stock
160g (6oz) Button Mushrooms
2 Onions
2 Carrots
1 Clove Garlic,
2 tbsp Fresh Herbs
1 tbsp Tomato Puree
1 tbsp Oil
Salt & Black Pepper
Cut the beef into cubes
Heat the oil in an ovenproof casserole.
Add the steak and cook until browned, remove from the casserole.
Add the chopped onions, chopped carrots and crushed garlic cook until softened.
Return the steak, add the tomatoes, wine or stock, herbs, tomato puree and seasoning.
Bring to the boil.
Pre-heat oven to 190°C; 375°F: Gas 5.cover and cook for 1½ hours
Add the mushrooms cover and return to the oven for a further 30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground beef
1 1/2 cups chunky salsa
1 (10 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
3/4 cup creamy salad dressing (e.g. Miracle Whip)
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 cups crushed tortilla chips
2 cups Colby cheese
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring to crumble, until evenly browned. Drain grease. Remove from the heat, and stir the salsa, corn, mayonnaise and chili powder into the beef. In a 2 quart casserole dish, layer the ground beef mixture, tortilla chips and cheese twice, ending with cheese on top.
Bake for 20 minutes uncovered in the preheated oven, until cheese is melted and dish is thoroughly heated.

Salsa Beef Skillet
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds chuck roast, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 (16 ounce) jar chunky salsa
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons lime juice
Hot cooked rice
DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet, brown beef in oil; drain. Add salsa, tomato sauce, garlic, brown sugar and soy sauce; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 2 hours or until meat is tender. Stir in cilantro and lime juice; heat through. Serve over rice.

BEEF NOODLE CASSEROLE
3 qt. flat casserole
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
1 lg. can tomatoes
1 can white creamed style corn
1 lb. sharp cheese, grated
1 (8 oz.) pkg. flat noodles
3 to 4 tsp. chili powder
1 sm. jar stuffed olives, sliced (optional)
1 tsp. salt
Saute onions and pepper. Add beef and brown. Add remaining ingredients, except noodles and cheese; leave to simmer. Boil noodles; grate cheese. Add drained noodles; mix well. Remove from heat. Add 1/2 cheese; stir until melted. Pour in casserole. Top with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Freezes well before cooking or after.
THREE LAYER BEEF CASSEROLE
2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lg. onion, finely chopped
2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 tbsp. dried basil
1 (8 to 10 oz.) pkg. spinach fettuccine
1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. milk
9 x 13-inch glass casserole
Brown ground beef; drain fat. Stir in garlic, onion, tomato sauce and basil. Cover; simmer for 30 minutes. Cook noodles until tender, about 8 minutes; drain. Spread meat mixture into shallow 3-quart casserole. Top evenly with noodles. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Whip cream cheese, sour cream and milk until smooth; pour over top. (Can chill until next day.) Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. A glass casserole shows off colorful layers. Serves 6 to 8.

Make yourself an open face sandwich. :)
Make some mashed potatoes and toast some bread.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Beef Bake
Prep/Cook Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom with Roasted Garlic Soup
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 bag (16 oz.) frozen vegetable combination (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots), thawed
2 cups water
3 tbsp. margarine OR butter
3/4 cup milk
2 cups Idahoan® Original Mashed Potatoes
Directions:
COOK beef in skillet until browned. Pour off fat.
MIX beef, 1/2 can soup, Worcestershire and vegetables in 2-qt. shallow baking dish.
MIX water, margarine and remaining soup in saucepan. Heat to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in milk. Slowly stir in potatoes. Spoon potatoes over beef mixture.
BAKE at 400°F. 20 min. or until hot.

6 (8") flour tortillas, cut into 1" pieces OR 8 (6") corn tortillas, cut into 1" pieces
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz.)
Directions:
COOK beef in medium skillet over medium-high heat until beef is browned, stirring to separate meat. Pour off fat.
ADD soup, salsa, milk, tortillas and half the cheese. Spoon into 2-qt. shallow baking dish. Cover.
BAKE at 400°F. for 30 min. or until hot. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
HEARTY BEEF 'N POTATO CASSEROLE
Ready to bake in just 15 easy minutes. 1 lg. ground beef 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed 1 (2.8 oz.) can Durkee French Fried Onions 1 med. tomato, chopped (opt.) 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup 1/3 c. milk 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese 1/4 tsp. Durkee Garlic Powder 1/8 tsp. Durkee Ground Black Pepper
Place potatoes on bottom and up sides of 8"x12" casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Brown beef in large chunks; drain. Place beef, broccoli, 1/2 can Durkee French Fried Onions and tomatoes in potato shell. Combine soup, milk, 1/2 cup cheese and seasonings; pour over beef mixture. Bake, covered at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and onions; bake, uncovered 2 to 3 minutes longer. Preparation time: 15 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Crumble beef in large bowl. Cook on high 4 to 5 minutes; stir halfway through cooking time. Drain well. Stir in broccoli, 1/2 can Durkee French Fried Onions, soup, milk, 1/2 cup cheese and spices. Cook, uncovered, on high 6 minutes; stir halfway through. Add tomatoes; spoon into potato lined casserole. BEEF-POTATO-GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE
Brown 1 pound ground beef in fry pan. Drain off fat. Combine with 1 can cream of mushroom soup. Put into bottom of large, deep casserole.
Cook and drain 1 quart of green beans. Place on top of beef mixture.
Cook enough potatoes to make about 1 1/2 quarts when mashed. Place mashed potatoes over green beans.
Top mashed potatoes with 1 cup grated cheddar cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
MEXICAN CASSAROLE
1 pound lean ground beef, sauteed and drained
3 green onions, chopped
½ teaspoon garlic salt
2 8-ounce cans tomato sauce
1 cup sour cream
1 cup small curd cottage cheese
1 cup sliced ripe olives
1 4-ounce can green chilies, chopped
1 6.5-ounce bag tortilla chips
2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, grated
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a skillet or microwave, brown the meat till crumbled. Drain. Add next 3 ingredients and simmer for a few minutes. In a separate bowl, mix together the next 4 ingredients.
Butter a 2 1/2- quart casserole dish. Layer the chips, beef mixture, sour cream mixture and the cheese. Repeat the layers and end with the cheese. Sprinkle chips on top. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Serves 8. Serving idea: Serve with refried beans, salad and steamed tortillas. For a real crowd pleaser, double the recipe.
