Honestly, I have a hard time "letting go & letting God". I've had some recent life-changing circumstances occur in my life. I want to trust God to believe that He will make everything alright. It's just that at times, I become doubtful. How do you
"turn it over" and continue to enjoy your days in turmultous times?
p.s. all advice is sincerely appreciated. Thanks

Oh, Sweetie, I understand what you mean. It can be very very hard to see past the pain of today to see tomorrow's joys.
I know that God understands this dilemma. He has patiently held me through a couple of temper tantrums when things didn't go my way.
The only answer I have for you is that, in the end, Jesus has conquered even death itself for us. Either we believe this, or our faith is pretty well worthless. Jesus knows us very well. He knows that faith that can't be tested cannot be trusted. Something to think about....
All things are, indeed, working for good to those who love the Lord.

Before you can find happiness with anything you must find happinessin yourself. Any attempt to use an outside force to find happiness will end up hurting you worse. That is just a fact in life. From what I was able to understand about you , one thing came clear. You are confussed about one thing. How can these events be a part of God's plan. Every christians will tell you that this is for the best, If a person died that was important to you , he/she is in a better place. In the Christian doctrine that all that is good is because of God, and all that is wrong is satan's fault. That this is the time of Satan and that is why things are so bad.
I am not a christian, but I want you to think about this. By blaming all the wrong on the powers of satan is just an excuse. It is a way to deny responcibility into their own lives. If something is bothering you you have the power in yourself to handle it. death of a loved one even in dad circumstances, will just happen. It is a warning to love one another while we still can.
You are like me many years ago, there was an emptiness in your life and it slowly ate at your soul. I found guidance in studying other pathways that made since to me, maybe that is what you need to do. Walk away and look at the world around you with new eyes. Maybe a different pathway will help you or maybe you will find what you needed to know to be a better christian.

It is very human to want to have control over our lives, to give up control is not an easy thing to do,but in reality we only control two things, our thougths and our choices,in every other way we are at the mercy of external forces. It takes lots of praying for humility to accept what we can not understand,I pray also for strength to cope with whatever the challenge might be,the most important thing though is to KNOW that there is a God,that He knows us and loves us and that in the end everything will be alright, this is the challenge of a lifetime.

I have this exact same problem. During my most recent "trials" God showed me that you can't have a testimony without a test. And one day we will share our testimony with others and it will help them through their time of trouble.

Keep in mind that God sees our lives from a completely different perspective which is unlimited. We only have a limited view. Or think of it this way: You and God are watching a parade from a fence. God is sitting on top of the fence and you are peeking through a knot hole in the fence. God sees everything in the parade while you can only see what's right in front of you.

Hang in there and I'll pray for you.

The problems you are dealing with are totally natural. Thanks to the new covenant, we have a chance to have a relationship with God. That means there is a natural ebb and flow with that, just as there is with human relationships. I think those of us who believe in God and want to trust in Him find our journey in faith is a consistent longing to be nearer to Him and to trust him more and more every day.

Very few people in this world can honestly say they trust God completely and live their life in such a way that reflects that.

They very fact that you want to trust God completely says a lot about who you are. Just know that this world isn't perfect, but God's world is, and that's what He's promised to those who believe and confess Him as Lord.

I know. And its really hard to do. I'm still not doing. I still haven't learned my lesson. I'm not sure I ever will. I'm not sure any of us truly can. It's in the human nature to control our own destiny. We so much want to do it ourselves. Sometimes we are successful and give no glory to him. Other times we fail and do nothing but blame God. How terrible is that?

As for your question, I have no idea what to do. I struggle alongside you. Everytime I let it go, I always seem to come back to it b/c it's not happening in my timetable. Now we are back to that old conversation. LOL.

I think you just have to make a conscience effort to let it go, follow the rules as they come to you, and let the chips fall where he allows. It sounds so easy, but it is almost impossible to do. Good luck.

Greetings,

By thanking God for what you have been given although it may not be what you feel you have asked for but it is what God knows you need. Always thank God for whatever result may occur in your everyday living for God is in control of everything those things given and those that are not.

It is said and believed that our heavenly father will make it happen in his terms and in his timeframe. If it is not excactly *your way*, it is simply that he has something else in store for you. Sometimes we have to go through *trials and tribulations* to get where we are supposed to go. Our heavenly father has a plan for all of us. We have to trust him wholeheartedly. Hope this helps...
