Sorry you are depressed. this is a national epidemic. Depression is a serious illness, do not take this lightly. I have known many people who have had or now do have problems, you should see a doctor and get some medication, maybe find a group to join. I know this is hard, especially when you have young kids to take care of. You will feel better about yourself and your life if you try this. I know you can do it! Good luck and DO NOT give up, I wish you all the luck needed, stay Strong. If you need someone to talk to, I am willing to help. FRANK

I wish you could give more information. Depression is a terrible thing to suffer through. There are a number of things you can do depending on what's going on.
First, in general, go see your doctor. An anti-depressant can be the start to feeling better.
Second, depending on what's going on, you may want to visit with a psychologist.
Third, get out and do not isolate yourself. Depression can be a cyclical. The more depressed you feel the less you want to do but the more you need to force yourself to get out. Call your friends, meet for coffee or go window shopping. Anything to get out of the house.
Forth, get a little exercise. Believe it or not 30 minutes of some sort of aerobic / cardio exercise can make you feel 100% better.
Remember you are never alone no matter how alone you may feel. Follow this simple rule "Never let yourself get too lonely, too tired or too hungry." Depression hurts but the answers are out there. I hope this helps. Take care of yourself and good luck.

OK your family must care or they would not give you money. Raising kids by yourself is scary. You need to get out in the world make some friends. Sometimes this seems almost impossible to do, especially when depression has set in. You have to take care of yourself first so that you can continue to care for your children. See a mental health professional if you can

I am not sure how bad your case is, so I will not recommend meds yet. What I will recommend is to keep loving your children. They will get you through any bad times you are going through. They give your life a special meaning. Try your best to think about that, and if you still are depressed, I would consult a professional. Depression is a serious illness, and for the sake of you and your kids, you should get treatment. Your kids need a fully functional parent.

Do not be affraid to talk to your doctor, He/She is there to help you. I f you are having severe depression issues they can prescribe meds to help with that. A therapist is also more qualified with dealing with clincal depression if it has gone that far. I know it can be hard to meet new people when you are feeling down because you don't feel very goog about yourself but you have to have one person in you life you can turn to to make you smile, even if it just a little one. I have been dxed with bipolar, generalized anxiety disorder and OCD and no one has shown uo to take my kids so stop worrying about that. Aslong as your kids are not being neglected or abused you don't half to worry. Go see the doc and try to let some light in!!!! Hang in there things have a way of working out!!

You will not get introuble for talking about your problem with a gp, in fact I would recommend it. No one will take away your children unless they are in danger. But in order to be a good mom , you need to find out what is going on. Your life is a difficult one at times, but there are solutions. There may be support groups in your area, and maybe counseling is an option as well. Knowledge is power, find out what you need to know to help yourself and provide a good future for yourself and your children.

I understand how you feel. It is really difficult raising children by yourself. I am glad that you at least have some financial help from your family. Many, including me, never had financial help from anyone, including the Father. Do be a good parent to those little ones. You are truly blessed. You will make it so don't give up. They need you.

If you really are depressed darling, go see a doctor. There's nothing worse in the world and I fully sympathise. If you think you could be depressed, speak to someone and see a doctor, the sooner you start treating it with anti depressants the sooner they can work. Take care x
