There are a lot of factors. The instruction manual should tell you. As for life, don't over charge the battery. It is usually better to let them run down before a recharge. Older Ni-Cad tended to get a memory. If it was on the charger a lot, it expected that, so it would run down quick.

Per charge, maybe a day. For the lifetime of the batteries, maybe 5 years or more if not abused. Our one cordless phone has hade the same pack for at least 5 years.

Depends on the brand of the phone, but I'd say usually about 4-6 hours with a newly purchased phone.

Depends on the phone. The instruction manual you got with your phone should answer that for you. If you don't still have it, take the battery to a local Radio Shack to find out.

At least two years. The one in my cell phone is going on year 3. This isn't the norm, it may be an exception to the rule.
